If we win, do we get a GOG-den Joystick Award?

Wa-hoo! We've been nominated in the category for "Best Platform" for the Golden Joystick awards for 2013. The Golden Joystick Awards are unique in that they're gaming awards that are determined by the votes of the gaming community--that's you! Whether you think GOG.com should win or not, please do take a moment and cast a vote in the different categories.

Click here to vote for best platform, 2013!

Note that it appears that you need to have an account with the guys at CVG for your vote to actually be counted, so if you're serious about supporting your favorite game distribution platform--or any other category nominee--take the extra moment to register. While you're there, consider casting a vote for our friends at CDP RED for "Most Wanted" and look at all of the titles nominated for "Best Indie Game" that you can already pick up right here on GOG.com!

Of course we voted for GOG.com as best platform, but some of these other ones are devilsh for us to decide on. Best storytelling? Innovation of the year? There are a lot of good choices! After you've voted, leave a comment below and tell us what you selected this year. :)
I voted for GOG and for the Witcher 3.
I didn't cast my vote in other categories because I don't have enough info. For ex. regarding The Best Indie Game Category I haven't played any of those indie games :).
Got my vote, GOG!
Something's missing in 'best indie game', I think. You know what? I'm sure you do :)
Voted for GOG, Witcher 3 and for FTL as Best Indie Game.
Voted after reading GOG's tweet :).

My picks in general were:
The Last of Us
GOG
Occulus Rift (Innovation)
Naughty Dog
Watch Dogs (not my most wanted but definitely among these offered)

Joystick competition lacks a diversity; many choices were kind of "never cared". And Best Gaming Moment - they picked The Last of Us and The Walking Dead full of great moments and chose Joel's loss and the roof moment, I mean really? I would have gone for Occulus Rift if I have tried the device, so no winner in that department.

Yeah, but when you do: "To submit your votes in the Golden Joystick Awards 2013, you must be a registered CVG user." And then you get the "Submit" button again. So apparently you can "vote" but it won't be submitted without registering.

That's too bad. I hate the "participation requires an account" thing.
You got my vote now about the $1000 you where going to give me for my vote. :)

Good luck with the vote.
I’d tell anybody who wants to know that GOG.com is currently my most favourite publisher and game seller. But I can’t be bothered to create just another account in the internet.

So yeah, you guys rock. I love shopping on GOG.com and it’s just a pity that you guys can’t bring yourself to offer native Linux games where they already exist. Still, you guys are doing a great job.
