SlackR84: See attachment for what Zoom says regarding licensing.
So even if they themselves know there are products they probably shouldn't be selling anymore they won't pull them until specifically told by the publisher? Yeah... Sounds totally kosher to me. =/ It's like the kind of person that says that "I just work here." Nope, I don't have much trust in a place like that.

I am pretty sure that is how GOG operates, ie. they expect someone to tell them (either the old publisher, or the new IP rights holder) that they shouldn't be selling something anymore.

Not sure if Valve does even that. Maybe they expect that the publisher (who doesn't have the IP rights anymore) removes a game from Steam themselves, and Valve reacts only if that is not possible for some reason. Just guessing though, but my understanding is that Valve has long had a "hands-off" approach to the store that they just offer the framework and the service, and others do the actual works of releasing their games there (or removing them from a store). Valve needs less staff then.

EDIT: Interesting though that when I googled for "Zoom", I apparently see mostly just some video conferencing application articles. Even if I google for "Zoom games", I see youtube videos of "10 best games to play on Zoom", which I gather is still about playing games on the video conferencing system, not the Zoom games store itself.

So at least I had hard time finding the Zoom games store by mere googling.

Normal, especially now, with Zoom becoming so wildly popular due to working from home. But they've been around since 2014. Little activity though, and for the past couple of years basically on hold, focusing on that Megarace reboot and/or whatever other dev work they have.

Does any store do it differently? Should they?
Basically you get a license to sell something under certain conditions, for a certain amount of time. If you respect the conditions, until the time expires as far as you know (and care), you can sell it, it's up to the rightsholder to notify you if something changed and see about ending that license to sell early. And if their licenses didn't have an expiration date, as they say, then it makes perfect sense to keep them in store until officially told otherwise.

Good news for Duke's fans - up from today for Duke Nukem 3D there are also included expansion packs: Duke It Out In DC, Nuclear Winter, Life's a Beach and Duke!ZONE II (as separate installer in "bonus" section).
Nice, well... except for the shovelware collection that is Duke!ZONE II - they could've kept that.
Seems like Zoom is not the only store still selling Grid, FX Interactive has it in its catalogue too (and also Dirt 2, another removed game) - https://juegos.fxinteractive.com/fx/game.php?id=361&Race_Driver_GRID
Zoom Platform only accepts payments in PayPal. If that isn't shady, I don't know what is.

Still, they do have some cool games there. I would have bought Commandos Strike Force from them already if they accepted regular credit cards.

I did pick up their freebies.

To be fair many stores accept paypal(though not all take SOLELY paypal).

Also you can bet your bottom dollar or dinar or what have you that lawyers for IP holders would be chomping at the bit to sue them if they were hosting and profiting from their IPs.

Note: I believe the major CC "brands"(Visa, MC, Discover) take a fee (processing, etc) from them for each such transaction if they accept such as payment. That might be why they haven't signed up with them as of yet.

It'd also be nice if they had gift codes(if they don't already), so people can gift games to others.
Dang I think that's a pretty good score.

Alien Trilogy isn't particularly good at all, they are downright mediocre but as usual Zoom allows of all kinds of shit into their own store, atleast half of their library is crap just to make their selection look larger than it is.

It's been 6 years since their start in 2014 and it just isn't getting anywhere.

I'd say that the streaming app Zoom pretty much killed the Zoom Platform because they are simply ungooglable now, as others have pointed out.

If you have an online gaming store that doesn't appear as first page result if you google it's name word for word, you don't exist.

I have noticed that too, i also have issues with their lack of payment options but maybe they will turn around sometime but for now they're just not a viable option atleast for me.

Maybe it's crap but somehow it got 1300 upvotes on the GOG wishlist :P did somebody speedrun it like Arabian Nights?

I don't know about a speedrun of it but i certainly don't have a lot of faith in wishlist votes, there are many good entries that i would like to see fulfilled too but also many crap ones.

Alien Trilogy is not "bad" by most other alien games standards but for most parts that isn't a high standard to live up to, it's just whatever i don't care quality game.

Be that as it may, it would still sell like hotcakes on gog based on brand recognigtion alone.
