It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

OK, thanks again guys!

And just to clarify - it definitely wasn't a late Friday commit. We're crazy, but not THAT crazy. ;) It is my understanding that it was a backend server issue.
The problem is fixed for the time being, and first time on Monday we'll make sure it never pops up again.

Sorry about any trouble this caused to any of you!

Enebias: Almost all the problems have been resolved on Firefox -at least for me.

Only one remains: the Log In/Sign Up buttons appearing instead of the "Account" one in every https page.
That's an unrelated issue which we are aware of, but weren't able to fix yet. We understand that it's an inconvenience, and will address it ASAP. I hope it's not a big problem in the meantime.

Firek: Guys, let me know if the problems persists.

We fixed checkout, but can't recreate the Account issues. We would appreciate your feedback.

Edit:
Also, please do a full refresh (Ctrl+R), just in case your browser might still have some corrupt assets cached.
The top bar doesn't currently appear to log in. Clearly I am logged in or I wouldn't be able to post this. But right now I'm just seeing the Sign Up OR Log In options where right now I should be seeing my account page link. Refreshing does nothing.

Firek: Just check if you're still getting problems in your Account section.

Also, did you experience these since 24h? As far as I can tell these issues started about 7-8h ago.

OK, I've logged in using both Firefox and Pale Moon.

Everything seems to work as should, even the annoying 'sign up"/ "log in" buttons are gone!

But I had to log in from the front page, and twice for that matter, I hope that's also fixed now.

I'm curious as to why this issue cropped in though.

Edit: the now resolved issues started after 11:00 a.m. GMT. The remaining one started along with the last Star Wars releases.
I'm not seeing that at the moment on Pale Moon. Just logged out from Firefox, and will log in after clearing everything to see if things work as should, including the top bar.

Hooray! I can download my games. But apparently I'm not logged in :P Ah well.

I'll nag our webdevs to give this glitch a higher priority first thing on Monday. That's a Support Overlord promise. :D

OK, after logging out and back in with Firefox, the "sign up"/ "log in" bug is back, but I can live with it for now.
But I still need to use the front page to log in, and enter my credentials twice before the system shows me as actually logged in.

And the notification flags only refresh from revamped, non-secure pages.

Am I to understand that you guys are working on these?

EDIT: And I just downloaded a game using the GOG Downloader.

We are working on these issues, but the notification flags are part of a bigger effort which will take a while longer to complete. I'm hoping to see a fix to the login/logout issue early next week.

HypersomniacLive: The only way for me to refresh the notifications is via the front page or a revamped non-secure page (like a game page). Try it and tell me if it worked for you.
Thank you, I just refreshed it at the front page (www.gog.com) and all attended notifications went away in an instant so that's a relief! :)

I still have the sign up or log in bug. It appeared right when the star wars promo started so I think when it's all done, it might revert back to normal. Just as a side note, I use firefox and I do clear cache and most cookies (and log out of gog) after every browser session and I never had the problem before the star wars promo (I also do not use galaxy or the downloader for games at the moment). It's a manageable bug though since if I just switch tabs (like to the front page or community) after attending to account features (like the library or messages), it reverts to the normal account tab most of the time. I usually log in at the front page too if that's relevant.

Anyway, after reading through the thread, I am glad GOG staff like Firek have responded despite weekend hours so it shows they are listening, even during off hours! Let's hope for the best for other bugs that will be looked into in the future!

Cheers for the reply and clarification.

Does the "bigger effort" also include accurate info on what exact content is being updated when we get an update notification?
And do I dare hope you tell us what the time unit used to measure "a while longer" is?
The situation is annoying, but at least there is a workaround for it, so I can wait "a while longer" provided the change will actually improve/ fix things - it will, yes? :-)
Yay! I look forward to seeing myself as logged in on those pages again. Its been feeling kinda weird, though I could still access my games

All is good for me but the one described above ... and I can live with that, being sure gog will solve it sometime.
Thanks
As I wrote before, I never had any issues to get my games; it was and still is just the flag issue and the "sign in - log in" bar.
But I noticed, that the often scolded GOG downloader signals that I have 3 new messages. :)
The same issue with Firefox 35.0, IE, and Chrome.

After the Galaxy client is out. Unless there are sufficient changes required for the client that a full rewrite makes sense sooner.

That sounds like the time unit is "month" and almost like bugs won't be addressed unless they affect Galaxy client.
And that would mean that the thing has already affected our experience with the site.

May I ask how you know this?
