One of my favourite bands: Arcturus - Sideshow Symphonies Every album they released, was an apocalypse for me. :D
Predestined Fate from VVVVVV.
I've been humming it non-stop in the last few days.
Music from Soukyogurentai (a.k.a. Terra Diver). It's simply epic.

Something got into me and I turned on some classics! :D Uff, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata at 16:55 is wonderful! ^^
The Vision Bleak - Carpathia

The word "Carpathia", for some unknown reason, always managed to catch my attention.. Many years ago, while i was browsing the cd albums at my local recordstore, i stumbled upon this album with the wonderful cover art..

- "Gothic metal" said the shopkeeper
- "Meh" i said with a grimace and returned the cd to the stand
- "It's from the Empyrium guys... Lovecraftian stuff inside" said again the shopkeeper
- "I'll take it!" :D

I headed for my home to listen to it... and what an album it was! Absolutely stunning performance of Schwadorf & Konstanz... Highly recommended!
God builds a church
The devil builds a chapel
Like the thistles that are growing
'round the thrunk of a tree
All the good in the world
You can put inside a thimble
And still have room for you and me

I haven't heard Bathory in ages! Thanks for the reminder :)

Blindside - When I Remember

I didn't realise that Blindside is also a Swedish band :) The gods of metal must surely originate from Sweden! - , [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SKKEBuACcVI&list=PLljok6q6tl-uR40qB7vgshR1OoY_2IH7u]Dismember, Amon Amarth...wiki lists them better than I can :)

I'll see your Tom Waits and play a Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds card in return. Looks like Thea is going to see Nick Cave live this weekend as a friend has offered her a free ticket :)

Currently listening to the Civilization 5 soundtrack.
I've got the main theme of Planet Explorers stuck in my head. It's neither particularly good nor bad as a song but it wears its welcome out quickly.
