50-80% off Darksiders, Rogue Legacy and Titan Souls.

Once upon a time there was a hero. One little hero against the world. Through thick and thin, dungeons and swarms, he presses on and on! Weekly Staff Picks: Final Boss are a selection of four titles with some of the finest, biggest boss fights that await our hero at the end of the dungeon. At 50-80% off, that hero is you.

One Arrow, One Boss, One Shot, One Kill. Titan Souls is a game that focuses entirely on an unforgiving series of quick and ruthless boss fights. You'll have to observe and learn fiendish attack patterns, to spot your opening, and make the shot. You will die a lot - but each time will be a learning experience. It's a simple, challenging-but-fair action game with a name that's no coincidence…
You may not succeed, but you'll make it your business to help your children succeed. Or maybe their children, or perhaps even their children. In Rogue Legacy, each generation of fighters you control will take advantage of everything that their ancestors have learned to delve deeper and deeper into the mysterious castle looming over your village. On your way you'll encounter peculiar bosses including a floating Eyeball, an anthropomorphic flaming ball of fire, a purple-flaming floating skull, and more deadly curiosities.
Finally, there is Darksiders I and II a story of Death and War - the riders of the apocalypse. With a setting like that, you can only imagine the kinds of towering, massive and unholy horrors that you'll face.

Reach the final boss, get up to 80% off, in this week's Weekly Staff Picks. The promo will last until Thursday, August 27, 9:59 AM GMT.

Treasure: because obviously restricting only the Russian regions from buying cheap gifts and reselling them wasn't possible or something and many other places in the world had to be shafted too...

Grargar: I don't think that there are currently any games on GOG that restrict gifting from a Russian IP (with the possible exception of the current Darksiders discovery). It used to be that Witcher 3 was not giftable from a Russian IP, but close to its release date, the restriction became worldwide and has yet to be lifted.
Now that I recall it, I remember having read about the Wicther 3 gift restriction, I didn't know however the current situation about it. However, the Witcher 3 is a brand new AA game, while Darksiders isn't that new and it has also been bundled even before its release on gog many times. In the same vein, then, they could also restrict the gifting of Metro Redux while they're at it...
p.s. Dunno why, but this discovery annoys me somewhat, more in the sense "what if I'll want to gift something in the future only to discover it's restricted" than anything else, but still...
Yep Darksiders not giftable from here. It seems Nordic is now implenting gifting restrictions for their games.

Edit: Don't really understand why Darksiders II is giftable and Darksiders 1 is not. Maybe another web department glitch as usual.

I still think it's weird that the base Darksiders 2 game isn't affected, though.

It is weird indeed, but I guess I'm used to seeing weird decisions regarding the store and updates and all that stuff, and so didn't give much importance to that exception - I have no idea either why that would be the case though - an "oversight" maybe...
Interesting promo! And i just noticed this message:

"3 games from your order are NOT compatible with your Linux."

Was it always like this or they implemented it recently? I can't remember since its been a while since i've last seen the checkout screen.. (due to the foreign purchase blocking)

Hmmm.. bad news. Gift restrictions have now been implemented for the three Book of Unwritten Tales games and SpellForce 2: Demons of the Past.

The reviews are great but I'd rather hear it from my friends in here (I'm an elitist), how is Darksiders?

Definitely one of my all time favorites. I'm still in the middle of my New game+ with the armor from my first run.

Grargar: Well...
Damn, I jinxed it! So apparently all newer/not oldies Nordic games have been regionally restricted and became non-giftable. I wonder whether someone either from gog or nordic will show up to explain (even in PR terms) their reasoning for this new situation...
edit-btw on another note, The Raven-Legacy of a Master Thief is still giftable...weird again...

No, not Nordic only. Metro and Risen are Deep Silver's games. In addition, it seems that gift restrictions have been applied to other games as well, like Divinity: Original Sin, Pillars of Eternity, Victor Vran, Wasteland 2 and guess which other game...

One thing in common is that the base American price for those games is $20+, but this doesn't mean that every $20 game is restricted (SimCity 4 and Broken Age aren't restricted for instance).

Ah, my bad...I thought Nordic had published these for some reason... Btw, as I just edited in my previous post The Raven-Legacy of a Master Thief is still giftable...weird...
As for the Witcher 2 situation, that's totally bonkers, as they even gave this for free to anybody who bothered visiting every day during the Fall sale afaik...

On another note, apparently Age of Wonders 3 and AoW 3 Deluxe Edition are now regionally gifting restricted too, but not their dlcs or upgrade packs...)
Also, the same on Blackguards 2, but not Blackguards 1 and its dlc...

Treasure: edit-saw the replies of PaterAlf and Licurg only after I posted but these still confirm the theory that the rest of Europe also cannot gift these games for whatever reason...
For what it's worth, I confirm that the restrictions apply to Switzerland as well.
Maybe it is a fraud prevention thing? This are the "AAA" titles and the use of stolen credit cards to buy keys and gifts and sell them on other plattforms seems to be common nowadays.

Also, with Republique Deluxe Edition, but not the standard one. They are so many, that I am seriously considering writing a list.
