blotunga: Maybe it's for the Epic store version. LOL. Now that GOG sells epic games...
We also have a WRC9 FIA World Rally Championship support page

fortune_p_dawg: after clicking those links i feel a little bit used and kind of dirty.
I will flip my shit if those are the two games we don't get because they're coming from Epic's store.

get ready to flip.

so the outer worlds is coming to steam on october 23. and i'll bet it'll show up on gog galaxy as an epic/galaxy hybrid abomination. gog users will complain, and the response from support will be "but it is on gog."

and now gog's support department (which i thought was a bit overwhelmed as it is... but i guess not?) will also be supporting epic titles. do steam key sellers support steam games after the sold steam keys are redeemed? i mean, this sounds totally bizarre, and not in a good way. gog, are you hitting the crack pipe again? stop. it's bad for you.

i hope to god im wrong. if i am i'll eat a boot (only 100% leather as it has protein and nutritional content).

I hate the fact that I can't argue against a single point here, I'm preparing myself for the worst.

I just hope you're wrong, although I have the feeling you won't be.

Really hope this isn't the case, but at the very least I think there's hope, Mechwarrior 5 has a gog support page https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360013832197-MechWarrior-5-Mercenaries?product=gog and a trailer for the games upcoming DLC https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dFZ5E13dxSM at 2:32 has gog specifically listed separate to EGS. So hopefully this means that games that are sold on the EGS will still be sold DRM free on gog.

This game was coming here before the Epic deal happened.

Watch GOG prop this up as a "See? we told you games would still come here direct" distraction too.

I guess it's only a matter of time until we see if EGS games stop getting released DRM free here or not then. Definitely something to keep a very close eye on that's for sure.
Don't know if this is the right place to ask this but been trying to find out if Genshin Impact might be coming to GOG if anyone might know?
I try to check here occasionally for info and since this thread is at the top atm, thought I'd ask instead of making a new one. Apologies if I posted in error.

"Until now, the GOG Galaxy store tab has only included GOG's catalogue of games, but testers will now see hand-picked Epic Game Store exclusives as well, including The Outer Worlds, Mortal Shell, Maneater and MechWarrior 5."

Beginning of the end.

From what I can tell by looking into the game, It seems highly unlikely for the game to come to GOG considering it's F2P with lootboxes and as far as I know the only game on GOG with anything like that is Gwent. It certainly doesn't appear to be a game that could work DRM free.

At the very best this Could mean that during the Epic exclusive period you buy the EGS versions of the game with galaxy and then when the exclusive period ends the GOG version releases... but that's a pretty big stretch and wishful thinking, I doubt that devs would even bother releasing a GOG version at that point. I do hope we're all wrong here but it really is looking more and more like we're not.

im willing to give them the benefit of the doubt for the time being. mechwarrior 5 is slated to come here. i want to see if outer worlds is released here and if mecharrior 5 is releaed on gog proper and not as an epic/gog frankengame. whether or not those two show up on actual gog could be a pretty good indicator of where this might go. otherwise it will just be gog allowing epic to cannibalize their sales through their own store.

GOG has one shot to retain even a semblance of trust with me and this is going to be it.

How come everybody keeps missing the "hand-picked Epic Game Store exclusives" part of that statement?

Edward_Carnby: Dunno if that can be cosidered as 'vague sign' but we have 'The Outer Worlds' support page.
