Yes, but I mean something new like Arkham series or Mad Max. :)

Fair enough. That would be really nice.
Still waiting on that Timespinner release, last I heard of was that it was delayed due to paperwork. It's becoming one hell of a wait.

There are still some (to varying degrees) highly-desired WB games on the wishlist - off the top of my head: Shadow of Mordor, Batman AA and AC, Captain Claw/more Monolith games, more Midway games (Area 51 2005 fps, Psi-ops, Stranglehold if possible), etc. WB distributed Witcher 3 in NA so maybe this will rekindle the relationship.

I was going to suggest the nutty idea of CDP/R using leverage to get WB to sort out the rights of NOLF with Activision and Fox (an exclusive release on GOG, at least for years - that'd be a massive coup for GOG), but since CDP and WB already have a previous relationship ala Witcher 3, perhaps that should have happened already.
high rated
The developers of Helium Rain are in contact with GOG. Let's see how it goes.
Given that Activision is still releasing here and we don't have Shivers 2 yet, maybe that game will appear here around Oct 31.

Given the licenses / companies involved... I suspect BS - certainly not going to hold my breath

Why? We've AvP1 here, already?
Has it got any more issues involved?

tfishell: "Well, without being too specific [no spoiler alert here], I really don't like the things that were added to those games. Dune is rich enough in detail and in imagination that those sorts of additions are jarring to me."

"I think I understand what you mean -- that most videogames nowadays belong on the trash heap. [...] They respect DUNE, and want to do it justice."

Oddeus: This Brian Herbert never fails to enrage me. Together with Kevin J. Anderson he wrote the worst piece of human feces, I have ever read. He changed almost every detail in Frank Herberts Dune universe to the worse; he even "retconned" the lore, called in-lore historic documents a lie, because after changing everything he realized, that parts of the story didn´t fit together. He also "deleted" about 50.000 years of lore/history from the Dune encyclopedia, that was approved by Frank Herbert as canon.
And as if this wasn´t enough, these guys continue to defile Frank Herbert´s memory by writing books, that a drunken twelve-year-old after multiple strokes could write better.
And this guy is talking about respecting Dune and doing it justice?

Sorry. Rant mode off.
Going for a beer.
Yeah, Brian Herbert accusing other people of not doing justice to the Dune World is just drop dead funny on sheer Irony alone.
I gave up on Brain Herbert after his first Dune book. He is simply a shitty writer.

The NOLF franchise is a legal mess as far as who owns what, and I don't see this changing in the near future.

WinterSnowfall: Yes, because he has the rights and nobody else can "respect" and "do justice" to Dune, only him and the people he decides to collaborate with :P.

Oh well, it's hard to grow in the shadow of giants, but then again nobody told him to continue "respecting" the Dune universe after wrapping up the original series based on his father's notes. He could have focused more on his own books if he really wanted to.

Guess a lot of people think he is rant worthy :).
Frankly, I don't think Brian Herbert has the talent to do anything he did not swipe from his father.

Afaik LithTech Engine involved, same problem as "No One lives forever".

The licence itself ("AvP") is harmless, as it is Fox/Disney and they are here already. LithTech went to Warner Bros and those are unwilling to clear their old franchises as far as I know (see "No One lives forever").
