They are the best platform that exists. The day that closing gog will be the end of the rights that as users we have on the games that we buy.

When there is only steam, epic store or stadie there will be many users who will ask for a platform like gog.

They do not deserve it, they are ungrateful.

I'm 99.9% certain GOG would make an official announcement and takes any necessary measures should they be dissolved.

But with that said, I would always suggest having all of your games periodically downloaded to drives... and be thankful that they are DRM-free. Yes, Steam said they would unlock game libraries if they were to dissolved, but I have much less faith in Steam than GOG/CD Projekt

What losses? Didn't GOG turn a slight profit in 2018?

So watching that, it seems that the "disappointing GOG" year is 1- exchange currency related, 2- Gwent related (gwent has been fused to a degree in GOG) and 3- work related to some unspecified new technologies for the platform (to support the webstore he says ? I'd guess they are working on server applications to support some kind of multiplayer component for CP2077 or some other kind of online stunt for the game).

Does anyone know if the people recently fired weren't in fact related to gwent ? There is an interesting slide during the presentation where it's pretty clear that GOG grew fairly well for all third parties related stuff (so as a general store). There are some stuff about the blizzard deal too, but it's way over my head.

gog's business decisions are made transparent to shareholders, not customers. that said i would like some comfort in gog's plans. saying you have 60 days to backup your games isn't comforting. i buy gog games because it is one of my backup solutions as well as my own personal backup. that said gog doesn't have to answer to us.
