Those responsible for gog.com are not going to give explanations about the future of the platform ???

There is a lot of news that gog.com is generating a lot of losses and that gog.com could disappear in the medium term.

We are many who support gog.com but they should give us an explanation that we trust every week.

Right now there is a lot of uncertainty and this may affect future sales-

Ofc GOG will give explanations about the future of their platform if it's needed but you need to accept the fact that you have no idea of what goes on behind the scenes in their work and business, what they spend money on and their plans so why so much doomsaying all the time ?

Right now there is no uncertainty, they are fine and will be so for some time but no one can ever speculate what will happen years from now on.

Regardless of it all CDP as a whole is more than fine, they are expanding and starting to put out more first party titles like Cyberpunk 2077 and another AAA shortly after (which btw is money makers if we are to judge from past titles) but expanding takes time and is always a rocky path.

I understand you may be wondering about their future when you read clickbait articles from sites like Kotaku but it seems to me that many people make a mountain out of a molehill about this. Live in the present and think about future when it's warranted.

StrongSoldier: ...
I understand that you are worried.

In 4 years you have collected 1 (one) game in your GOG library - that's a lot to get nightmares.

Since when is it our business? Gog's business is Gog's business and doesn't have to disclose anything to user's in this forum and I'm sure that if you ran a business,it would not be submitted on a forum for others to see or make idiotic comments about.

Last time I saw one of his trademark apocalyptic posts was by the end of last year.
Guess it must be one of those slow days on the Steam forums.

if you actually search their posts - combined with a sole game owned... my edit of your post is the only sensible outcome.

Also very likely.

I still find it weird how he still has a positive reputation after so much time trolling here, whereas some nice and polite forum members manage to have very low reputation levels.
I've seen a similar thing with other resident trolls, but I never managed to figure why.
Worry less, buy more, if it bothers you that much.

because that particular system is broken - always has been, gog have no control over it, cannot fix it, cannot tell who is doing what with it, have no idea how it works and cant remove it without breaking everything because... well I dont know the reason for the last one in the list.

What losses? Let me guess, you read one article from Kotaku...
Yesterday their 2018 financial report came out. They made a profit for the year as with every year I've seen.

May I suggest you not take speculative clickbait media at face value. And maybe, just maybe, you should be asking Kotaku why their story turned out to be so wrong in terms of the financials.

Another problem with your suggestion is that as a publicly traded company, CDProjekt can only release financial information in accordance with trading and security regulations which takes the form of pre-scheduled quarterly statements.
