muntdefems: I haven't, since I assumed it was not like a 'regular version' of Wasteland 2 (i.e. it has, or at least it originally had, a different library game ID than the game ID sold in the store).

eiii: Just to confirm, I also got Wasteland 2 from a Piñata and it does come with a code for Wasteland 1 (both library entries for Wasteland 2 and Wasteland 2 Director's Cut share the same code).
Yep, you were right, I did have a gift code for Wasteland 1 after all! It's only that sometimes the 'Serial keys' tab appears completely blank and sometimes it doesn't. Unabling Greasemonkey seemed to solve the problem, so it's probably something related to AF or BE. I'll try to investigate it in more detail.

I see this happening quite frequently when an installer is upgraded to the new naming scheme. My guess is that they were using either a different compression algorithm or the same compression algorithm, but on a higher setting for the old installers.

Perhaps a blue can shed more light onto this, I'd love to rely on more than just speculation... or they can be enigmatic, which is pretty much what we're used to, and we'll never know for sure.

Upon getting three Lucid Orb Shards with the same property, they will fuse in your inventory to create a full Lucid Orb that can be used to guarantee that property on any other gear!
* The final showdown in an Item Nightmare is now substantially harder, as the Queen will be accompanied by two Princes! Also, the Queen will now speed up as you destroy the Nightmare Crystals.
* Some Item Dream floors will now have lots of Berserker monsters that go nuts!

Do GOG Windows installers still have an Options button which pulls up a panel containing checkboxes that allow you to opt into/out of creating a shortcut and installing FoxIt Reader?

If so, why not suggest that they add a checkbox that lets you manually override the decision on whether to indirect the launch shortcuts through Galaxy?

I don't have direct experience with InnoSetup, but it seems like it should be trivially easy to set a checkbox after running the detection, then read it back out as a master veto for the Galaxy integration.

I don't know anything about a FoxIt Reader checkbox but yes, they still have the other ones. If they would add such a checkbox it probably would be checked for Galaxy shortcut as default (don't know if this can be checked automatically depending on what has been detected) and I can imagine what would happen then (remember the Galaxy Installer debate). GOG is trying to do a one click install here and delivering the best installation for everybody - no matter if Galaxy user or not - maybe they thought that too many checkboxes could confuse. If the detection routine would work nobody would have any problem at all but unfortunately that does not seem to be always the case.

"Create Shortcut" and "Install FoxIt" were checked by default last time I installed a Windows GOG game in Wine. That didn't prevent them from having the checkboxes.

As for the state of things, they clearly detect Galaxy enough that systems which have never had Galaxy will produce a working install from a Galaxy-free installer. If this were present, it'd have provided a nice workaround to point ex-Galaxy people at while waiting for a proper solution.

Finally, as for "always checked", the proper way to do this, from a UI-design standpoint, is to have the following states:

- Galaxy not detected in a Classic installer: Checkbox is disabled (and unchecked so it doe

- Galaxy detected in a Classic installer: Checkbox is enabled and checked by default
