tinyE: it's just a really weird game. :P It's supposed to have almost impossible controls and you are supposed to more or less butcher your patient. People seem to think it is more serious when they buy it and then are very disappointed.
O_o...people take that game serious?
But I guess weird games once in a while can be nice xD

MarkoH01: Here we go again. Grim Dawn has been updated and as usually has received a pagelong changelog which you can see here. :) [...]

So much text, so many pages ... it all looks the same for me ... but I fixed it. Thank you for noting it.

SS is ideal for youtubers and partys. It's just completely weird and it's nearly impoosible to actually manage this game completely - it just is ot meant to be. You are trying your best and are laughing about the result. In addition to this there are also several funny achievements you might try to achiveve. It's just a fun game. Would not spend much money on it though but on a sale it's definitely a game one could buy.

That's what I thought - like Goat Simulator, eh?
No I would only get it if it were on sale but even then I've been sceptical so far - but I guess it might be worth a try then :)

Yes, you could compare those two I'd say.

Ashes of the Singularity: Escalation has changed

[CHANGELOG UPDATED]
Patch 2.65 (20th December 2017)

New Scenario Splash Art
- We have updated the thumbnails for most of the Scenarios so that each one now has their own unique image, instead of having a few shared among them.

New Benchmark Screen
- We have improved the layout and appearance of the pre-benchmark screen.

Quality of Life
- Regions can now be claimed from players who have disconnected from a multiplayer match
- Damage status updates for Dreadnoughts, Juggernauts and the Nexus will always play immediately

Balance
In 2.5, we reduced the health of the Assembly to make it weaker than the PHC Counterparts to compensate for its versatility. Since it can no longer produce air units, we are restoring some of that health.
- Increased Health of Assembly from 1200 to 1600
- Orbital Nullifiers (Structures) will no longer block capturing of regions

Campaign Changes
- Avatar and Sapper advanced defences now available in most missions
- Juggernauts and Nexus Health upgrade now available on King of the Hill scenario

Imminent Crisis
- Fixed some inconsistent grammar between the audio and text in Deneb
- Medic is now available in Deneb
- Falcon is now available from the beginning of Calethaon
- Removed Dialog about Smarties in Calethaon as it felt abrupt and out of context. (Due to lacking another now obsolete line to preface it)
- Delayed the arrival of the Overmind on Artorius when playing on lower difficulties, to varying degrees
- Barrager is now available on Roceda & Silgul
- Increased starting Quanta on Decanus to compensate for increased cost of Incursion

Escalation
The changes to Substrate air production in 2.6 created some issues in the Escalation campaign which we are now addressing. We are also removing some outdated dialog that now provides incorrect information.
- Aviary is now buildable in Betelgeuse and Rosette with Pan, Dominator and Punisher unlocked
- Removed obsolete dialog about Harvesters in Betelguese
- Removed obsolete dialog about Saboteur in Rosette
- Removed obsolete dialog from Lagoan revealing the Brute Mk2 and Hera
- Removed confusing and misleading mention of Harvesters from Leo

Map Changes
We're fixing some map issues and changing a few maps that had too low a proportion of Radioactives, which limited strategic diversity.
- Fixed unbuildable Radioactives Deposit on Lyra
- Fixed unbuildable Metal Deposit on Aenghus
- Added additional Radioactives Deposits on Shredded
- Added additional Radioactives Deposits on Manannan
- Added additional Radioactives Deposits on Anishanaa
- Balanced all 6 spawns on Anishanaa
- Fixed a disconnect between two regions in "Crack the Shell"
- Adjusted Turinium requirements on several team game maps to reduce outliers that were set too high or too low

Bug Fixes
- Fixed several tooltip errors
- Fixed a bug where "Turtle Wars" Scenario had invulnerable turrets.
- Fixed a bug where Medics were still running towards buildings, despite no longer being able to repair them
- Fixed a bug where multiple Engineers were losing their build speed bonuses after the first structure
- Fixed a bug where hotkeys weren't showing up on Quantum Upgrade icons
- Fixed a bug where pending Logistics warnings were not showing up for peers in a multiplayer game.
- Fixed a bug where the Pan didn't have an icon on the Empire Tree
- Fixed an issue where holding down the mouse click when using attack move would instead box select
- Fixed a bug where Juggernauts would do low damage after obtaining huge amounts of levels and upgrades
- Improved the visual weapon alignment of the Sentinel, Carving, Falcon, Serpentine, Starburst and SkyEnder turrets.
- Fixed a bug where Nano Mesh Barrier could be cast on dead units which would then lock out the ability

Legacy Changes
- The following was implemented in 2.6 but was not documented in the changelog
- Disruptor Tower can no longer target air units.

[CHANGELOG UPDATED]
Update 13f (20th December 2017)

Warden Mode

You can now play as the warden inside the prison you are building! Enable this from a new option in the New Prison screen. Most of the user interface is the same, but you can also walk around using the WASD keys (and shift to sprint) You can press TAB to toggle to Action mode. From here you can control the equipment you are carrying, and recruit body guards. Try not to get attacked by your unruly prisoners! But if you do, you will be taken care of by your medical staff.

Fog of war: You cannot see around corners, so be careful. The one exception is that you CAN see through any CCTV cameras you have installed.

Arm yourself
- You can pick up objects commonly found in each room to protect yourself. Think a knife from the kitchen or a taser from the armoury.
- You can collect body armour from the armoury for some extra protection.
- You cannot simply attack prisoners without provocation. But if you are attacked you are free to defend yourself.

Protection Squad
- Recruit guards to your personal protection squad by right clicking on them from the Action interface (tab)
- These guards will follow you around and protect you from any unruly prisoners.
- Bodyguards don't come cheap. They will add a significant cost to your daily upkeep.

Permadeath
- Play in Permadeath mode and you will have to rely on the security and medical infrastructure of your prison even more.
- If you die in Permadeath mode that's it, Game Over.

Floor Signage
- New tools are available in the Deployment menu to provide floor signage for Prisoners and everyone else
- Floor Signage provides a way for you to give hints to people as to which way they should travel around your prison. People tend to follow the directions unless a much easier/shorter route is available.
- Misbehaving prisoners, doctors on the way to heal someone, and all type of Emergency callout units ignore the floor signage. Everyone will also ignore the directions if there is a riot occuring.
- To paint lines, simply select one of the new tools, and left-click and drag in the direction you want people to go. Right-click and drag to remove paint.

New Attract screen
The game now opens with a new attract screen, slowly panning around your recent saved prisons (or the bundled prisons if you have no saves). Press any key or click the mouse to bring up the Main Menu. This should be a better first screen than simply being dumped on a new empty plot of land.

Modding

Script Debugger Window
- Added: When highlighting a scripted object in the script drop down menu, the camera will now move to that object to help see which script will be selected.
- Fixed: Script names were hard to make sense of. Names in the drop down menu are now a lot shorter and easier to discern.
- Fixed: The window wouldn't correctly open to the selected scripted object, or to a scripted object that threw an error.
- Allowed more object variables to be used by scripts.

Balance changes
- Removed the cap of 20 prisoners working in a single large room at a time. The new cap is 100.
- Prisoners have received a boost to their academic skill rating based on their security category. This means it is slightly easier to have prisoners pass the education programs.
- The Foundation Education and General Education reform programs have had the number of sessions halved from 10 and 20 to 5 and 10 respectively.
- The Library now requires a certain academic skill rating rather than specifically requiring the Foundation Education program. This makes the Library usable sooner.
- Added a new need, Luxuries, which is satisfied by goods sold in the shop. Prisoners who have satisfied this need are less likely to cause trouble.
- You now gain a commision from goods sold in your shop. At the end of each day, you'll receive a bonus payment based on how many goods were sold in your shop.
- Prisoners who go too long without being assigned to a cell will now have a marker pointing to them for easy identification.
- You can now end all punishments on a prisoner from their rapsheet, not just permanent ones.

Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue causing Workmen to regularly move shop goods back and forth between the Shop and Storage.
- Fixed: Dogs of fired handlers would occassionally maul some unsuspecting prisoner to death for no reason. Bad dog!
- Fixed: Number of staff resting with staff needs enabled is now updated correctly
- Fixed: Some objective markers for non-English languages appearing in English, they will now be translated correctly
- Fixed: Sectorisation of mixed regular and family cell blocks will no longer split the regular cells into separate sectors.
- 011500: [Other] No French label for "missing access to canteen" (John)
- 011498: [Other] French translation error in the first campaign (John)
- 007501: [AI & Behaviour] Addictions cannot be removed. (PROVED) (Icepick)

What was wrong with that? I remember spotting a few untraslated pages in the journal some months ago, but I thought those were taken care of by now?

I remember one talking bubble in a cutscene but in general it was more the percentage they listed in the agme and it was said that the German translation was only 95% finished. Since the devs have paid for the translation they can demand the complete work so I as a customer can do this as well. It's by no means unplayable this way but it's also not perfect and the original game has been tramslated 100%.

Ah, I see. Percentage displayed doesn't mean much really, Italian was way ahead of the other paid translation for a time, but it was still displayed as 60% done (I guess it's more like 95% for a while now). In case of the German language I think it just meant it wasn't fully tested (UI has probably still a fair amount of text scaling issues, but I'm not sure how much can be done about that).
Also Lars kept introducing small changes and features until a few months ago, so technically a translation can't be considered 100% completed until he stops.

Still, keep an eye out for those. Eearlier versions had a bug where the game ignored some bits of the localized files. You could write literally anything there, but the text still defaulted to the original English version.
I tried to find all of those instances, even-cross referencing with other languages, but it's always possible I missed some.

To be honest, I did not play the game very long but I also did not want to until it felt complete. Missing localisations for me always are annoying and they let feel the game incomplete. That's one reason why I contact devs so often about localisation issues. But interesting to hear that such things might be a general issue. Will wait until the patch arrives here and see if the one I witnessed (it was in the beginning afair) has disappeared or not. The devs seem to be more than friendly and they also seem to give feedback to their customers which I appreciate very much. Even though the game is not exactly my genre (I like the comic style and the humor though) I have remembered them because of them being nice to their customers. Unfortunately feedback does not always work so well. Several devs of other games were completely ignoring me. Luckily I mostly never give up until they respond.

Edit: If you have further additions to this pelase contact me via chat so we won't derail this thread.
