Thanks, those sound like a good idea. I am not familiar at all with cockroach problems, so I was still unaware of all the possibilties. I hope they are selling those traps here too (why not, I think Finland has cockroaches of its own even though they don't like cold winters).

Yesterday I did spray some generic Raid spray (apparently meant for "crawling and flying insects and ants") into some crack I thought cockroaches could use a passageway, but I presume it is not potent enough for cockroaches. But at least scare them off a little, maybe to another aparment? :)

Anyway, so far I've seen only one, and my gf possibly killed one (hopefully the same one). But I presume that doesn't really say anything how many there might be, as to my understanding they usually move only in dark, and otherwise stay invisible to human eye.

Problem with most "Generic Repellants" is the fact that the target may obtain tollerance to those kind of repellants, so while it is a short term solution, it most often than not creates long term problems. Think of it as if you take antibiotics every time you get a cold, when you finally catch something, the antibiotics will no longer work.

Oh well, I guess I can satisfy myself with literally hundreds of owned but barely played PC games, along with Mass Effect 3 and Risen 2. :P

Why the rush? Try to clean up your PC backlog. By the time you're done with it, the new XBOX would probably be out, and you could get that one.

Well I was getting a free Xbox, so I figured hey why not, ya know? Now that it's fallen though there is no rush, just like there wasn't before. I do eventually plan to get one though to play some exclusives like Red Dead Redemption and Halo Reach.

I didn't even want to go to this goddamn anime con in first place but my buddy insisted that I have to go. He forced me since he paid for the room, my badge, and foods at con. So I was like.... whatever. The ride to and from anime con was nightmare since the girl kept stopping on constant basis, which delay the stuff a lot.

The line at anime con fucking sucks. It supplants SDCC, which shocked me but it's true..... we were stuck in longass line for several hours and my energy was getting low so I left without the badge.

I'm glad that I get the pull out bed from couch for myself but I do feel bad for 2 lesbians whose has to share the bed with my buddy whose would sleep in his underwear. Morning view isn't that magnificent at all. :(

The anime con lacks the fun factor and rely too much on cosplay to carry the con, which is just huge failure on their part. My dream girl and I were walking around and we commented that there's not much to do except for elitist cosplayers having an e-peen contest with each other.

I was supposed to spend 2 whole days with my dream girl but I only get precious few hours with her because of her goddamn ex-girlfriend demand that my dream girl be with her on constant basis. With new girlfriend. WTF. I was sickened at the sight when ex tried to kiss my dream girl right front of current g/f.

All I want to do is chill with my dream girl, just doodling in notebooks, and kicking it back at anime con but apparently, that's too much to ask for. I really fucking resent how ex-girlfriend kept hogging my dream girl. Make me having zero regret about the incident that I cause some time ago.

Only saving grace of anime con came on last day, which shouldn't be that way. I met awesome artist, surprise appearance of my cosplay buddies, and Doctor Who fan.

I felt that my buddy is banking too much on banging 2 lesbian girls. I mean... .he spend over grand on this anime con, including the costs of their cosplays. I scratch my head at that and want to point out that he has g/f.

I'm fucking disappointed that 2 lesbian girls haven't had sit down talk to him that his behavior with them isn't proper. I know this because they let him groping them all over. I want to facepalm.

Seriously, every fucking creepers were there trying to hit on underage girls. Fuck that shit.

After 4 days of my buddy spraying Axe body spray..... I officially hate that shit. I'm tempting to tell him to get real cologne from high end shops.

But aren't XBox360 (as well as PS3) units dirt cheap already, ie. if you can afford buying console games, the price of the unit itself is negligible? Isn't the unit price like the price of a couple new PS3/XBox360 games currently?

I was very close to getting either one, even thought about getting both for awhile, just because the units are so cheap now. In the case of PS3, I was even using the argument "even if I don't play anything on it for now, at least I finally have the Blueray player that I've been missing so far". Then again I have no idea if I will buy Blueray movies either...

I postponed that idea for now though, when I realized I haven't been arsed to replace my old gigantic TV tube with a HDTV set yet. So maybe it doesn't make sense to buy current-gen consoles yet until I do that.

This stupid back problem cost me a job with a long-time customer, so I'm not happy about that. They called looking for a check-up on three machines and one in particular, to make sure it was up-to-snuff for a big order starting soon. I explained the problem and they were cool with it, and then I had to find a replacement. I think I found someone capable but I've only worked with him once; fortunately, he really seemed to know his stuff but he's more of a general mechanic than a product specialist like myself (I concentrate on one brand). I told him that the customer has a nuclear-powered BS detector, and to just be straight with them so they may give him work in the future on some of their other equipment. That'd be my may of giving him my thanks - a new referral.

I don't have too much to worry about them jumping ship and replacing me with this other guy; I've been servicing these three machines for, oh, something like 14 years, and I get along great with the maintenance manager and his staff. But you never know.

On Wednesday I'm still able to take on a job about 90 minutes from here, an old customer that hasn't had me visit since I went independent and has only ordered a few parts over the years. The old maintenance guy is out and the new one called a few months back with some questions. One thing led to another and I'm finally getting my actual foot in the door after 8 years, and will be selling them a back-up computer system with a specialty circuit board. This one I can not pass up because it's essentially a new customer and I get to sell some parts. Fortunately the bad back shouldn't be much trouble since it'll be PC work and operator training. My chiropractor isn't thrilled but I told her there would be a lot of sitting time and no heavy lifting. She's more worried about the drive...

Either way, gotta get this thing figured out before I lose more jobs. Gonna have an iodine injection this Thursday; I think they're going to use a spectroscope or something like that to see if a disk has sprung a leak (that would mean a minor surgical procedure, probably no big deal) or if they're just inflamed like crazy. I believe I'll also be getting steroid injections on Thursday, directly into the disks, to help knock down that inflammation.

At least the muscle spasms have subsided and my mobility is greatly improved. However, I did bump into Quasimodo the other day and he said it looked painful. : D The hardest part is keeping a good attitude, and so-far so-good. Venting here helps.

Things are pretty tight right now. I am working a volunteer job overseas after college and my girlfriend is still in college. Not a lot of money to throw around.
