Would you guys rather people bump old threads or create new ones about stuff that's already in existing old threads? (and have people then complain why doesn't the thread creator use Search function)? hahahah
Bumping old threads is absolutely fine if you have something substantive to contribute to the topic, even if it's minor. Hell, even making a mistake and bumping a thread isn't a big deal.

What is NOT okay and what actually happened was: Bumping a page's worth of old threads with "I want it!" and acting all hurt and put upon when people politely ask you to stop, and then acting positively persecuted after you've flipped them the bird and they resort to downvoting or just saying you're being a jerk.

There are people who were asking for help, who'd helpfully posted stuff other people wanted to read, etc. all pushed to page 3 or further due to that. This forum actually doesn't get much traffic and a lot of folks don't go past page 2 on most days, if I had to venture a guess. That's rude.

I didn't know it was as frowned upon in the states, but we're the same, if you call anyone a cunt here you'll get some 'tut-tut' from people around you... and you certainly don't say it to a female.

Unless you're watching late-night satire, in which case it's completely okay to say cunt to a female, male, or a member of Fianna Fáil. (Actually I think that's pronounced foil)

Also, you still haven't fixed "extole" to "extoll" yet.

deathkitten: Hey have you thought about maybe making a "General Games Discussion" and/or a separate "Offtopic/Hangout" forum? Or maybe a "Wanted Games" discussion forum to gauge interest better than just the votes? :)

I think either of those ideas would get a lot of the hostility gone from the people using it as a social site versus the people who pop in here occasionally to talk about old games in old threads :)
It's been suggested a lot and people seem to dislike the idea (on balance, obviously some folks think it's fine), GOG hasn't responded by adding one despite the topic coming up from time to time.
