MarkoH01: Could somebody tell me if the Pajama Sam series needs the Steam client? Even after I asked the devs they did not bring the Germen version of the games to GOG so I was hoping this would be an alternative.
AB2012: I don't own them to test for you but I thought all ScummVM compatible games didn't have any Steamworks DRM / wouldn't call the Steam client anyway precisely because ScummVM only uses the game's data files, and doesn't use the .exe?
Edit - I found the proper link :
http://wiki.scummvm.org/index.php/Datafiles All you need is the data files "PAJAMA.HE0" to "PAJAMA.HE7", etc. If you use ScummVM, no .exe provided by Steam will even be run, so they should all be Steamworks free (as are most other DOSBox & ScummVM games).
That sounds good. Did not even know they were using ScummVM but good to know. Now I just have to wait for a very low sale so that those lazy devs don't get too much money from me. Thank you.
