timppu: I wonder if EA is still offering more freebies? How about UPlay, I think I got some AAA freebie from them too half a year ago?
EA canned their "On the House" program some time ago. Past a certain point, all they were doing was recycling the same games on offer anyway, so probably for the best.

Ubisoft very rarely gives anything away - certainly not with any regularity akin to the likes that their competitors have done previously.

Yeah I guess it makes sense mainly when launching the new service, so Epic offerings will most probably dry up at some point too, maybe offering something for free once in a bluemoon, a bit like Steam and GOG.

Oh well, as long as it lasts...

I seem to have three games on my UPlay account:

Ass Creed 4 Black Flag
Ass Creed China Chronicles
Watch Dogs

I presume I got them as freebies at some point, but apparently that's it. Either way, at this point 99% of my gaming money seems to go towards GOG.

spitfire1966: Valve lost a ton of credibility with me when they turned Steam into a casino for children.
Valve developed and sold Fortnite?
They are not even the GOTY edition (Asylum and City) and all DLC are absent! Plus, the third game is missing, too (before Arkham Knight, there was another one).

That's Origins, developed by WB Montreal. Blackgate - the 2.5D game - was developed by Armature (who also worked on Fortnite).

I suspect that they'll eventually have them available on the EGS at some point but since they're both developed by different studios they probably didn't get included in the distribution deal.

Great! I really love splitting between libraries... (not!)

I will wait for a gog release to BUY them, instead. Might sound funny or nerdish, but i don't want free hassle; on the contrary, what i want is hassle-free, instead and i am willing to pay for it, even! GOG release or nothing.

Thanks for the clarification, too.

ReynardFox: Ok, so that's all the Arkham games DRM free.

What's the braindead excuse for them not being on GOG now then?
Big publishers don't want to release their games DRM-free.
...
wait
...
And here I was assuming it was going to be the Telltale Batman game. I don't care what everyone else thinks, out of all the launchers, if I'm going to have to use one at all, then I prefer the Epic one for how clean and devoid of useless shit it is. Steam is a train wreck in comparison. Epic downloads the games and launches them- that's all I want it to do.

Honestly I get it (I wouldn't be registered here if I didn't, even if I'm not full militant about it).

It says a lot about how GOG might as well be considered the neglected stepchild of digital storefronts though.

both Asylum and City are the GOTY editions....

Yes they are. I think what he actually meant was that these aren't the new "Return to Arkham" Unreal 4 versions that were remastered for consoles, they are the older Unreal 3 versions. But the Return to Arkham games are only on console anyway as far as I know.

spitfire1966: ...
I don't think WB will ever release their big titties on GOG unfortunately.
Am I too tired or just deranged? Why is my mind doing this to me?
epic is really going for the throat of the gaming world. smart considering that fortnite wont last forever, and before that they were only really know for unreal engine and gears. do people even care about unreal tournament? and dauntless... lmao what garbage!
anyway, I still maintain my stance on arkham asylum being the only good one in the series.

Sulibor: I can confirm AC works without the Client started so it is DRM- Free.
That alone doesn't make it DRM-free.

Can the game be re-installed later without ever logging into an Epic Games Store account again? If not, then it's still DRM-infested.
