That seems to be the only sticking point i have against Epic, making devs break their promises by moving to the Epic Store. On the other hand Epic has stepped in (not the devs) and refunded people.

You can run all of the batman games without the epic client by launching the games via the .exe from the installation folder. There is no authentication on startup for these games. You just need the epic client to donload the games obviously.

Once you have the game data on your drive, uninstall the epic client if you wish and copy the games as you see fit to any storage drive and you don't need an offline installer.

You do know that it's part of the free market to be able to criticize and boycott businesses when they act like bags of dicks, right? You can hate a corporation and their business practice and still be able to support their right to do it, pretty much like how you can be in favor of free speech while still despising what some people have to say.

Which is something that other company did first before Epics store.

While they are furiously ignoring the actions of the other main game store.

But GOG is owned by CD Projekt, so most people consider them having a right to give away Witcher games. Though probably, Fallout giveaway crossed the line.

The point, I think, is why get excited about "competition" when it brings nothing new to the equation? It's just another corporation doing the proprietary hustle, and the bottom line is they all suck.
