tinyE: it's 70 F here in Copper Harbor and IT'S TOO GODDAM HOT!

Oh and on a serious note, we're getting hit with smoke from some of the Canadian wildfires. I hope you and yours are okay.

THE THING

I was going to make a joke about giving you the cold shoulder, but last time i did that I woke up with a missing kidney! ;)

Fairfox: Okay, so I love the heat, but I'm over it now. I get it, weather, you want to be 90 degrees every day, ever, and thunder up the wazoo. Stahp.

So! Recommend some lovely, nommy, cold, delicious, Winter-y games to play.

All I can think of, off-hand, is Never Alone; a charming if frustrating game that wears its heart on its sleeve but makes many rookie mistakes along the way. Fox gotta fox, tho, until fox turns into boy. Ugh.
First area of:
Vikings-Wolves of Midgard will get you that chilly feelin.

In canada we don't work. our government work hard enough for all of us, so we don't have to.

I never heard of it so I Googled it. So it's based on a 1980s movie? The screencaps for that look scary and Nightmare Fuel as fuck; I'm neither watching nor playing that :P

Kidneys are fine, just don't ask for a liver.

its actually THE direct sequel to John Carpenters The Thing (worth noting for anybody that wanted a sequel).

so how about a nice chianti?

And John Carpenter's is of course a remake, but one that follows the short story A LOT closer than the original movie.

Not actually a remake though - merely inspired by same as it was by the original short story). Its the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. of Lovecraftian tinged body horrors from the 1980s in that sense.

Edit: and yes im familiar with the film and the short story, and also with theother half of things I mention before somebody steps up. :)

Kholat...

But if you're not into scary, it's not for you.
Fun fact: I just wanted to say something smart like "Don't waste the summer playing video games. Go to the beach instead." Then I realized that the two beaches I go to regularly are called "Cala Del Mago" (Bay of the mage) and "Caló d'en Monjo" (The monk's bay). Must be a gamer thing... Now I only have to find the "Bay of the necromancer" oO
Banished. As soon as the winter comes, you'd wish it was eternal summer.

Another HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD game.

A lot of these winter games are amazing, but totally rage inducing.
