Sometimes by losing a battle you find a new way to win the war.

March onto the real-time 3D battlefield in the strategic, tabletop-inspired title, <span class="bold">Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat, now available for Windows, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Jump into the fantasy tabletop world of Warhammer Fantasy from Games Workshop in Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat and take control of a small army. You will have to manage your forces and weigh your strengths and weaknesses wisely to extend your influence, expand your treasury, and enlist new recruits to see your army grow. Choose your battles carefully, as your moves will affect your in-game future. If you are up to the challenge of a highly difficult and tactically demanding strategy, Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat is for you, but be warned: your patience will be tested with the defeats you are due to face on your way to victory. The game’s combat system got many a word of praise, but do not be fooled - it does not come at the expense of character development, plot, or animation, and the music is astounding. All features of the title come together to truly bring the Warhammer Fantasy tabletop classic to life.

<span class="bold">Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat is DRM-free at GOG.com. If tactically challenging strategies are your thing, make sure to give this one a try.

avatarsca: So excited for this!

I've already purchased and installed, but unfortunately the colors for all the videos and screens are messed up making the game unplayable. Has anyone else encountered this issue?

I'm rocking Windows 7 with an Intel Core i7 and a Radeon HD 6800.

Thanks for the amazingly quick reply. I actually came across this in your support section shortly after posting (sorry I'm pretty new to GOG games). Very robust and helpful.

I'm pleased to report the solution worked perfectly. Thanks to everyone at GOG for bringing this, and so many other games, back from obscurity!!!
Awesome releases! I was especially looking forward to Shadow of the Horned Rat. Seems like whoever GOG bought the rights to all these games from loved strategy games. :-) I just bought a brand new computer yesterday, and Shenmue 3 and some other Kickstarters are finishing up soon, so these'll have to sit in my GOG shopping cart till next week or so.
Great, one of my favorite games ever gets released here and I can't instabuy it. Grrrr.
That makes me wonder if there is any chance for WH: Mark of Chaos to be on GOG.

I tried to run this sucker on modern machine for weeks and nothing.

Not with Namco-Bandai absent from the GOG's signed publishers. Though I guess, they could just buy the rights to the game, as they bought the rights for these ones (might be more expensive, though).

That's true. But CD Projekt RED has a history with Namco, so maaaybeeee that would make it a little bit easier

randombrown99: I'll add my voice to the chorus, saying:

This is great!

Dark Omen, please!
Ahem...

DARK OMEN!!!
It's great to see some Warhammer. But I'd really like to have Mark of Chaos. That would be awesome.
Wishlisted for now, a little nervous about buying it right now considering the number of people having problems though
