Oh man, I'm starting to regret buying Tyranny. Portrait DLC pack? Really? Soon new music DLC? Damn you Paradox for corrupting my second favorite developer.
And still no upgrade packages between versions.

Maxvorstadt: No horse armor DLC? Lame!
There's no horses in Tyranny as far as I know. Maybe they add them in the sequel... (or in another DLC)

Somehow they managed to trump the horse armor stupidness. Charging four bucks for pretty pictures? This would be fine if some game play content was involved. (He smarmed, realising that everyone would sayou something similar)

So even if someone has bought the Overlord Edition they have to pay extra for a few portraits now?
Ridiculous, shame on you Paradox Interactive! No, thanks.

kokosabre: If only the game didnt feature an option to upload your own images....
That's exactly why this dlc is perfectly okay. If they intentionally crippled the game to disallow custom images, then sold additional portraits, that'd be bad. Why do people assume programmers need to eat but artists don't?

This option will be removed with today`s patch!
That's some amazing DLC right there, although they should've priced it at $9.99

Hmmm, what an odd DLC. Have to agree with Starmaker though, that this is exactly the type of DLC that's fine by me. No requirement whatsoever to have it, but if you've got money to burn, then this could be for you.
I don't see any problem with this DLC, it's just cosmetics.
Still planning to buy the game when I upgrade my PC! I will just skip this DLC.

Exactly my thoughts.

Yeah, I think the time has come to stop regarding GOG as being any better than any other store. Not that I even care about this game in particular (not until it's very heavily discounted anyway), but you could say this is the straw that broke the camel's back. I so wish I had a backup of Good Old GOG's advertising videos about being ripped off or eating the whole cake to prove my point, but then again, who could expect at that time that they'd end up pulling such a 180° turn? Well, whatever, it's not like it's the first time the games industry (or a niche thereof) stops regarding me as a desirable target or anything.

Music DLC would be a couple rungs up from this to most people, I think.

Were portrait packs like this more the domain of modders in the past?
