Trailer is positively awesome, bit worried about the episodic nature of it though.
I suppose the current price tag is for the first episode only, right?

Kunovski: damn damn damn, I have this from bundle, heard so many great things about it, but didn't have time yet to play!

and now it's on GOG, all patched up, available immediatelly (god knows where's that bundle e-mail) and for such nice prize... aaaargh! :D
avatar
PainOfSalvation: I don't think it's been bundled before, you sure about that? Anyway, another solid addition to GOG catalogue, wishlisted for now. :)
It was in Humble Weekly Bundle: Sci-Fi Edition back in early August of last year.

Fenixp: Can someone tell me whether the ending is conclusive or if the game actually is the first part of a trilogy with massive cliffhanger at the end? 'Cause if it's the latter and the game sells itself as a story-driven one, I don't think I'm going to bite until the entire story is out.
It is the first part of a trilogy and the ending can be considered a cliffhanger, but I think the story is so self contained, I actually have no idea how they can even continue it. I can recommend getting this now if you like good scifi stories.

Yeah, people fretting about this being only part one of a trilogy, don't. It's satisfying, in and of itself. Even if the developers were to go out of business and the other two installments were never made, it'd still be worth your time and money.

So is the game really not finished? How many episodes will be available?
It depends on what you mean by finished. Even though it's part one of a trilogy, it has an ending. It's not another Dark Matter.

Fever_Discordia: Oh so it's not
"YOU are Mark E. Smith and you are tasked with getting the band back together in this new game based on the seminal post-punk band"
Then? Shame...
you missed out the bit about benefits and alchoholism! ;D
A nice game , gog added to their catalog (already have it on Humble bundle) :)

However would have been nice ,if GOG adds in the game description the game is part of a trilogy.

IAmSinistar: Looks like something I'd enjoy. However, it's episodic and reminds me of Dark Matter more than a little, so it's also triggering some unpleasant gaming flashbacks.

I'll buy it if and when it's complete. Still waiting on Kentucky Route Zero, after all.
i recommend it if you like this kind of game, however at the end of it you want to play more ;) , because many questions are left without an answer , and no it's not like Dark Matters.

And here I was hoping GOG wouldn't release any game I would be so interested to the point of having to get it, having just released Hotline Miami 2 (which I preordered in here) and right after a huge insomnia sale, but here it is.

Love the looks, the reviews, the design, the mixing of genres (all of them genres I adore, by the way, which is always nice!), and I honestly get the feeling the story should be amazing. From what others more in the know than me have said, this first act seems to be self-contained enough to grant me a satisfying experience.

Unfortunately, with my recent GOG purchases (sometimes I like to buy games at full price to support GOG and the developers), I have no more spending money for this, but it's wishlisted and I will most definitely get it as soon as I can.

Keep up the good work, GOG, and don't stop bringing us all these wonderful titles!

The first sentence on THE FALL's gamecard: "Experience the first story in a mind bending trilogy!" ;)

I strongly disagree with the assertion that there is no cliffhanger. There's a BIG cliffhanger, which I won't spoil. Think of the endings from the Half-Life games, and you'll be in the ballpark.

Full price would be 3-4 hrs for 10 USD, with no replayability. Takes a special kind of gamer to not consider that a bit of a ripoff, especially given the ending. On sale, 5 USD for 3-4 hrs maybe not so bad.
Another World is one of my favorite games and can be completed in less than an hour. It's currently $9.99 on GOG. Games such as these should be judged on quality, not quantity.

So did the developer say anything about the other episodes for this game? If it's only 3-4 hours, that's pretty short for a game.
