One man alone cannot fight the future.

Singularity™, an intense time-bending FPS where past, present, and future are locked in a violent fluctuation, is available now, DRM-free on GOG.com.

How was U.S. marine Nathaniel Renko supposed to know that saving a Russian scientist from a fire in 1955 would have such catastrophic results in the present? Now a tyrant has taken over the world, leaving Renko and his techno-magical glove to sort out this mess and salvage the best possible version of the future.
Armed with the appropriately named Time Manipulation Device (TMD) and plenty of conventional firepower, Renko must face an army of elite soldiers and horribly warped abominations that shouldn't exist in any era. The TMD can rapidly age his enemies, send energy surges through them, or even manipulate inanimate objects to his advantage, as he jumps between 1950s Russia and its modern day counterpart, looking for the means to save the world from the singularity.

Manipulate time and your enemies' life force as you desperately try to cancel the Singularity™, DRM-free on GOG.com.

Seriously GoG, £22.99 for a 6 hour old game that is available for 10% of this price elsewhere and £14.99 on Steam!
Oh, that Acvision price...

Wishlisted for now

I heard that this is a really good game... but £22.99 is daylight robbery.

No thanks.

The first time you played this you beat it in 6 hours, on not easy difficulty setting? Oh you are good!
It took me around 10 hours on normal the first time I played it. I am good at FPS games, you must be a god.

Trid: I was sure it was.. kind of bad?

Smannesman: Nah, it's a bit of a meh game in a bleh market.
The game was meh? Damn, wish you had told me before playing it twice. *slaps leg*
looks interesting, but I'll wait for a better price before adding to my backlog... :)
Just edited my Wishlist-Extension:

Very interesting concept let down by a design team without imagination and chased by their producer to make a deadline. Pass, I' ll just play Braid instead.
How did this get released with such a price? This is 14.99£ on steam. Why is it almost double on GoG?

It's regionally priced on Steam but AFAIK it's not regionally priced here, and in this case the regional pricing in the EU is favourable compared to the US price

Vitek: Not to mention the game is currently 50% off on GamesPlanet and already was 75% off in the past.
then wait for the inevitable singularity high-discount gog sale? ;)

Martian12: It seems like people are constantly trying to find new excuses to blame gog. Quit nagging already. I agree that the price is very high. I agree, it is logical that someone should feel frustrated.

But I want to make two points:

A) Activision. Just see the base price of Gun and Bloodlines, both recently released, both relatively old games.

B) I have a question for all the people who complain. Did you really intent to instabuy Singularity or you just bitching? I mean, if the base price was 20 Euro (as in steam) and not 27, would you buy it or would you wait for a sale anyway?

For f**ck's sake, gibbeynator characterizes the game as "generic trash" and complains for the base price. Why the hell do you care for something that you think is trash?

All in all, I do understand the complaints. They are of course legitimate but after all if you really want to show your disapproval quit bitching and just don't buy the game here. Low sales send the message not bitching in the forum.
great post, +

amok: Low sales only just send the message that DRM free does not sell, and gOg is not a viable store to put your games in.
no, because other correctly priced drm-free gog games do sell good so it can easily be compared and see that the too high price is the culprit.

DrearierSpider: Quite frankly, if you folks spend half the energy you do blaming GOG on instead going after your backwards, nanny state of a government, you could kill off this problem at its source.

Ok, for once I'll do an Impaler26 impersonation and say:

Already own this on Steam!

Which seems to be just fine, since I couldn't buy it here on GOG.com, anyways.

:)

$29.99 ???
Is the game comes with two horny babes and a bucket of caviar ?
This game looks fairly interesting.

* sees price, faints *

Maxvorstadt: If this game is region locked, then why?
This game is NOT indexed in Germany!! GoG, why do you hate us Germans?
well, I could think up a reason or two ;)

Quite frankly, if it's censored without being indexed or banned in a country, than you can't blame the country can you? And I really wouldn't call other governments backwards where you come from. Get your gun laws and health care in order and your police from murdering people first and then come talk to me about backwards governments.
