Has anyone been able to track down the book reaver was looking for? :P

cheers, but yup I knew of that one.

The 2 I knew of are bol.com and the marktplaats site. so i was looking for others.

book depository I was unaware of but as Kunovski pointed out, they dont have it.

Well Allow me to bring it back on the rails because I think 1984 is overrated.

Just for people who hate government instead of trying to improve, for people who wears Guy Fawkes masks because they seen the V for Vendetta movie (even the book V is increadibly not that heroic)

All because of the whole thing going with NSA spying on everyone's internet usage and smartphone calls.

But they don't read your thoughts!

I am trying to find a book for someone it's the Dutch translation of George Orwells 1984. However, they are few and far between on UK sites and a don't yet speak enough Dutch to search properly.

As far as online services go where do you look at ordering your books from? I'm aware of Bol.com and the equivalent of eBay (market place thing)

As long as it's good condition a second hand store is ok. There are just the main criteria of it must be in Dutch, ideally hardback, good condition and a sensible price.

I add that last one cause I did find a copy for 12 euro but to post it still within Holland they wanted 25 euros shipping.
There are a couple of editions on De Slegte which is a chain of second hand bookstores.

OK looks like tis is much of a 2 sided Holland/Netherlands argument. The usual thing though, always 2 sides to a story.

I think the U.S. definitely owns the title of best geographical names. We have an Intercourse Pennsylvania and Hell Michigan not to mention two national parks named "The Bandlands" and "Death Valley". XD
