Cool, I just wish the original was bundled with it so that the wishlist entry could be completed. (same with DOTT and Maniac Mansion)

Telika: Hey, how come this re-mastering is graphically so much better than the other lucasarts (which, by contrast, look like a mere smoothing filter applied to the original pixels ) ?
It looks pretty similar to me; I assumed there'd be complaining in this thread about the "Flash-like" graphics.

Thank you, GOG! :)
"Whenever i smell asphalt, i think of Maureen."

Definitely getting it. ;)

Bigs: How about some new releases instead of over-hyping pre-orders??
At least there's a discount .. wasn't Grim Fandango offered for pre-order for nothing but the privilege of parting with you money early.

trusteft: I wonder if we will get the original as an extra to download, for those of us who want to play it on quite old machines.

Grargar: If the two previous Double Fine remasters were anything to go by, then no.
I'm pretty sure that Day of the Tentacle has the old data buried in it in such a way that you could dig it out and play it on scummvm. I know you can take out its Maniac Mansion that way.

I'll pass for now. I'd like to know what they've done with audio though. For Day of the Tentacle they found the original talkie recordings and presented them in higher quality, which was nice. For Grim Fandango they replaced the old music, which was not.

Exactly the line I am thinking of whenever I am thinking about this game. But before you can say this line you'll have to smoke about 20 cigarettes in a row to get the right voice for it - it's so extremely cool.

But even though I do love the original voice acting I am wondering if the game really will be ENglish only or if this is the usual GOG bug that will be fixed later (because I know for sure that there were other labguages available including German). Maybe someone can tell me?

In my opinion the wishlist entry should be completed (together with Day of The Tentacle, Grim Fandango and the Monkey Island games, Maniac Mansion on the other hand is not here as it's own entry and should not be completed). The games are here and you get the oppoprtunity to play them in it's old glory if you so want (by in-game options but still!).

Great! I'll be patiently waiting for the release. And thanks for the linux support from the start!

Ricky_Bobby: According to Polygon and endgadget, you will be able to switch between the new and classic version on the fly.

Matewis: Awesome thanks :) I don't know if it the nostalgia speaking, but even with the monkey island remasters I preferred the look of the originals.
Well, the monkey island remakes had a very different graphic identity than the originals. The original was in a pretty realistic style, while the remastered was very cartoony. Personally, I thought the pixelated original graphics were absolutely gorgeous. Especially the closeups on some characters' faces. So I played them in their full oldschool pixel glory!

On this one, the style really looks like an HD version of the original, though.
Ah, finally!
It's the best game from my childhood.
Judging by the screenshots, they did a great job remastering it. It IS a piece of art.
Instabought for me.
Ohhhh, YYYYYYEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!!! ( :

LOVE these old LucasArts adventure games! And Full Throttle was so much fun!

Pre-ordered it. Can't wait to play it.

Thanks GOG, for bringing this classic game here.

*very happy* ( :

tastymonkey: Now they just need to remaster 'Freddy Pharkas Frontier Pharmacist'.
There was a release on CD which was voiced so that much is good.
Al Lowe was one of the creators of this game... Sadly I never got to get this game on it's original release.
Just so you know, the original is sold here on GOG.
Good to see that Linux version is coming on day one!
Still own my original disc of FT. Great game - unfortunately I can't buy DF games in good conscience. So I'll have to give this a pass and stick with the original.
low rated
I don't pre-order, but I definately want it. So, for now, it's wishlisted, and I'll grab it eventually. I still have to get Day of Tentacle first.
Great game! But... only english???????? Sad.
