'Tis the season of buying. I just spent £25.90 at Game on used Super Mario Galaxy and a few of Xbox 360 games. I figured that the kids really need Super Mario Galaxy. :)

That's after having spent $12.50 on the LEGO Batman collection a few days ago for the same reason.

Damn this buying season. I can't stop buying (in my small way).

Just bought Icewind Dale EE for Android on sale. Yesterday I bought LEGO Batman: Beyond Gotham for Android (which I already own on PC). Before that bought To Be Or Not To Be for Android (which I already own in e-book form), and for PC I bought that Square Enix 2015 Holiday Surprise Box.

valdaintheking: I don't see how this will ever get cured. I purchase 3 video games a day on Steam (Newgames), 2 games on Amazon (from ps2 and Old systems), and 1 from desura EVERY DAY. My mail box gives me deliveries every day and I own well over 2000-2500 games. In total I own 5000 with steam and stuff included.

ET3D: So, why? Why do you buy all these games?
Because I just do. I dont really complete many of them either. I usually will complete 2 games a year at most. I like to play games for a bit and then play something else. I dont finish games because there is nothing new to see really. If the game doesnt do a large amount of something new compared to others of that type, then I get bored with it. I always look to seeing something new but nothing ever surprises me :(
Added Goat Simulator MMO Simulator and Lara Croft GO to my Android bundle, as well as a couple of cheap PC bundles. I really should stop, but .... Hmmm, haven't checked for Xbox sales yet...
I can say that empty pockets postponed my buying season opening. Though if I keep holding up... I may make it to another week clean.

Ok I have managed to make it 2 days from buying a game. I am going to see if I can go 5 days without it. If that is the case then who knows. Its kind of invigorating to not I guess as I pretty much own 2/3rds of the stock of Gog without doubt.
So, while I don't think my games buying habit is completely bonkers, I may want look into reducing my spending even more. Just using my Mac mini as of October as my main PC - my Win 8 lappy is packed up in the closet for the time being (mainly because I can't have it out without feeling uncomfortably cramped) - currently helps a tremendous amount since I've only been buying games that I know will actually run on the thing. So my main gaming focus there is playing the games I already own, and boy do I have a lot of those.

I also think I've bought enough games for my XBone for the moment. That and all the freebies I'm getting with Gold, especially now that all 360 games are available for XBone users as well, has me more than covered. Hell, I still have to get back to Witcher 3, as is.

Yeah, I'm not running out of things to play anytime soon. While I've always been terrible as far as New Year's resolutions are concerned, I was thinking on putting a moratorium on any game spending. I was thinking no games bought for the entirety of 2016, but I'm not sure I'll be able to hold out that long, so I'll try with the first six months and see how it goes from there. Wish me luck. :)

Yes, that's the main problem for me. Tons of stuff to play, not a lot of time to play it, and I keep buying.

It's not that I spend a lot of money, but I still grow the backlog constantly. The Chrismas season is the worst. I spent only $3.13 on the Steam sale (which is one cent shy of a rounded round number), but I got:

MISSING: An Interactive Thriller - Episode One
12 Labours of Hercules II: The Cretan Bull
Tomb Raider (2013)
Dungeon Siege
King's Quest - Chapter 1: A Knight to Remember

Plus I spent some time getting the sale cards and selling them so I could buy games "for free".
I returned since my gaming budget for 2016 is $1.98 .

Hello, big spender! =P
Almost bought Septerra Core, which GOG sent me a notification about, but resisted. Found out it's in a $1.99 Bundle Stars bundle, and debated with myself whether to get that or the GOG copy. Ended up deciding that I have no clue why it's on my wish list in the first place.

Of course, that's just a small win. Since the end of the Steam sale I spent $1.74 and have 9 new games to show for it.

Edit: If I had Painted_Doll's budget I would have had only $0.24 more to spend. The horror!

Forgive me brothers, for I have sinned. It's been 16 days since my last confession, and three weeks since I last added games to my backlog, but today I just couldn't resist spending $1 on the Humble Ubisoft bundle, to get Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, Grow Home and Rayman Origins. The first two are on Steam, the latter on Ubisomething, which kind of makes it bad, but hey, the unredeemed backlog doesn't much care where it resides.

So now I've spent $2.74 for 12 games since the end of the Steam sale. Blew Painted_Doll's budget and there's no turning back.
Well, January has gone by without a single game bought. So far so good.
