I ended up buying the BTA Humble Capcom Bundle. Still that was nothing compared to the other stuff I bought yesterday. That included $24 worth of comics and RPG Maker MV for $72 (which is the largest digital purchase I remember making). When I'm tired my resolve lessens. I hope that I do make some use of the non-games purchases. The games I'm pretty sure I won't make good use of.

I failed.
I'm officially stopping today... for a myriad of reasons. I didn't even buy anything from the sale.
Thanks to the weak hungarian currency even discounted games became expensive for me .
I thought I'd be able to go through yet another GOG sale without buying anything, but I happened to open the store page (always a mistake), and Resonance was there for $1.99, and I couldn't resist it. (My previous GOG purchase was The Blackwell Epiphany.)

But I'm happy because it made me look again at the AGS for Android thread and there's a post from today of someone who compiled the engine with a Steam stub, so I can now play Heroine's Quest on my tablet (which I've wanted to do).

Anyway, once I finish Syberia 2 (which unfortunately I started from scratch by mistake) I might try Resonance.

I really do belong here, but my parents taught me to never be a quitter.

:D
It helps when one is short of $$$ :P
I'm in! Those sales are killer.
I spent 3.18 dollars in the fall sale. The weak Norwegian Krone is helping greatly in buying less. It was 6 kroner for a dollar in mid 2014, now it is 8.7 kroner for a dollar, and it is predicted to get worse.

A few days ago, backwards compatability became available on Xbox One. This is a big step for me in buying less games :D Now that I can play Fable 2 again, I don't need to buy another game for a very long time. This will keep me entertained for countless hours :) When I've done everything in F2, I still have a massive library of Xbox 360-games that I've bought over the years.
I said I wont buy any games for a while and then ended up buying 60 games on this sale. (I counted the "new" games in my Library)

wow
I don't see how this will ever get cured. I purchase 3 video games a day on Steam (Newgames), 2 games on Amazon (from ps2 and Old systems), and 1 from desura EVERY DAY. My mail box gives me deliveries every day and I own well over 2000-2500 games. In total I own 5000 with steam and stuff included.

I don't need a change, I need the monthly massage visit H&Stone to happen 2 times a month!

I thought Desura has shut down? At least that should ease up your purchasing somewhat.

So, why? Why do you buy all these games?
I'm already past the point where I should have "held back". My collection says hi. Add in my console collection, and it grows even more. My last count with all games that I have came up to about 500 games total when including Steam and GOG. That was before this GOG sale and possibly a few other GOG sales, as well as a few physical game purchases. The main thing keeping me under control is my deep preference for physical copies, my not buying bundles from Humble Bundle or Bundlestars, and my other expensive hobbies like LEGOS or buying anime stuff at Anime conventions once or twice a year.
