As far as I can see, the oldest SSI game is from the 80s.

Just a quick side note: Yes, GOG did indeed publish Warhammer 40.000 Chaos Gate, Epic 40.000 Final Liberation and also Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat . I streamed all three of them on the GOGcom Twitch channel, the VoDs should still be avilable for a while.

As for the upcoming releases: Obvioulsy, none of us are allowed to actually say anything. But please, DO keep voting for your favourite Wishlist items, those votes actually do make a difference. Oh, the games coming up... the games... :D

Exactly what I was going to say, although Wizardy 1-5 are 80s. Unless they are referring to which was released in 1977 as "DND". Taking a look at [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_role-playing_video_games:_1975_to_1985]this list of CRPGs from '75-85, the only series that fits in the 70s/80s category is Dunjonquest. The way he was talking about it, one would think it was going to be something a bit more popular such as Wizardry or the Goldbox series.

Already in for The Cosmic Balance (the first space battle sim I ever owned—on the Apple ][+, no less) and PoR:RoMD (which I still play; as recently as two hours ago. But which has graphical issues that I'm hoping a GOG release will solve.)

Fingers crossed that this may be SSI's turn after all.

"70's/80's classic RPG"?

Honestly I can't see anything besides the old Wizardry or "Gold Box" games.
We already have all the Ultimas, Bard's Tale and M&M, so I really think it's probably the old Wizardry series.

An interesting offer. But truth be told: apart from the "collector's interest" there's very few people who I can see playing such old classics nowadays.
Some things adquire an "acquired taste" with age.
Others just gain mold. :P

Why do you think it us Wizardry over the SSI games?

I think this kind of thing is going to be sold on nostalgia only.

I guess because "70/80's" suggested something older. Also, Gold Box would be almost too good to be true, and to come out of the blue like this without prior teasing; it would be LucasArts all over again. There's also the fact that the SSI games might pose additional problems due to the 3rd party D&D licenses. So Wizardy would be less spectacular but probably more likely, especially now that 6-7 are already here. Then again, GOG keeping quiet about it could also be a good sign, because often when they loudly announce something as huge it ends up being rather anticlimactic. And I didn't expect Albion to appear here this soon and all of a sudden either.

Please tell me we will be getting Rainbow Six 3 for crying out loud Ubisoft?
