morolf: I wish for the abolition of Facebook, Twitter and all other social media.
Granted, but the GOG forums are also abolished, causing all record of this wish to be lost.

I wish for a remake of Baldur's Gate that does not use any edition of the D&D/AD&D rules, but instead has mechanics similar to Dragon Quest.
Granted, now everybody stands around like an idiot waiting to be attacked when it's not their turn; any inclination of stealth is a pitiful stat-boost and basics like maneuvering and not being teleported into every battle with every other step are complete non-concept.

I wish more JRPGs were like Elder Scrolls or Deus Ex and allow players control over their approach.

Granted, but they use motion capture technology. Actually, players have to play wearinng a sensor suit, in a sports pavillion, so that there is room enough. Real physics for the handling of all arms is used. For the sake of realism, real monsters (mechanical, but still deadly) are thrown at the player. You can control your approach, as much as your life is at stake. The whole thing appears to be an expensive proposition, but the games are financed by the esports streaming. The prospect of seeing players gutted for real atract a wide audience. Do not worry about volunteering: the state decides to make playing compulsory, solving (from their point of view) a number of social problems in the process, Battle-Royale-style.

I wish that all developers of games that are sold for PC clearly stated if they recommend using a mouse and keyboard or a controller (or a motion capture suit).

Granted, but you don't get much use out of those recommendations, because shortly thereafter new gaming technology is developed which allows gamers to control games just through their thoughts, rendering all old control schemes obsolete. Unfortunately you belong to a small minority whose unusual brain structure isn't compatible with the new technology, so you will never be able to play any new games.

I want to be worshipped as a God-king, with thousands of devoted worshippers at my command, and pyramid temples for my cult where priests perform human sacrifices to honour me.

Granted. Your worshipers all sacrifice themselves, and as a result, you no longer have any worshipers.

I wish for a COVID-19 vaccine that can be distributed via e-mail. In other words, all that it would take for you to get vaccinated would be for someone (say, a medical professional) to send you an e-mail with the vaccine and for you to open said e-mail.
Granted, but the vaccine takes the form of extremely illegal porn.

I wish the Silent Hill trilogy was legally remade without Konami's involvement in the slightest and with the fallowing new features:

Every character in each game gets their own campaign that perfectly fits the events of the originals; Laura's doubles as a collection of "making-of" (and obviously non-canon) special features content to fill in the lack of monsters. Maria already has this, but her campaign is extended to the full story; whatever ending you got as James will determine how he behaves when you play as Maria on that same save-file.
VR controls and guns do x10 damage on humans.
All 3 games use the same outdoor map of the entire town; choose your character segregated in the menu by which story they're in and they all have the freedom to find items and monsters across the entire map, but story progression and unique items still have the same restrictions as before.
The first save-file post-it-note that each character can reach (not in the well, but on a wall or table), they can keep it and save anywhere.

Granted, but with the following new features:
* On choosing "New Game", the game crashes.
* The game also crashes when loading a save.

I wish that, this winter the temperature does not drop below 60 degrees F (just over 15C). (Note: I live in an area where snow during winter is common and happens every winter.)
Granted, but it’s only because of an extreme climate shift that melts the icecaps and upsets everyone (those that live).

Wish my neighbour would finish his DIY already.
Wish granted. Now you do it for him.

I wish there was a secret hatch on the moon leading to a pre-Cambrian moon expedition base.
Wish granted, but opening that hatch exposed the last members of the once great lava man civilisation to the vacuum of space and extincts the species.

I wish Boris Johnson would adopt the dress and speech mannerisms of his Ottoman ancestors as well as traditional family name of Kemal (this is real look it up).

Granted, he now rules as a despot like the Ottoman sultan. He kidnaps your girlfriend for his harem and when you object, he sentences you to an abject life as a galley slave rowing in the channel.

I wish for a giant forest in Germany, with bears, wolves, boars and elk.
Granted, you're sent on a hiking trip to a region of Germany where all those animals thrive, but you never manage to see any of them before stumbling into a 127 Hours situation; and THEN a bear find you.

I wish for a Mammals edition of Jurassic Park, with all the biggest fuzzy creatures that ever lived, and for the security of it to never falter.
Granted, no problems ever with security, but after an earthquake the place takes a direct hit from a tsunami.

I wish for unrestricted and uncensored access to the security and military archives of all major world powers and Israel.
Granted, but before you recover from the shock of the truth, agent’s from all sides are sent to assassinate you because you know too much.

Wish the few bad apples wouldn’t spoil things for everyone else.
You get that access, but you're unprepared for the horrifying truth (even worse than the reptilian conspiracy theory, a Lovecraftian horror beyond your wildest imagination) and are driven to utter insanity.

I want a space-based laser cannon, so I can re-enact the endings from the original Command&Conquer NOD campaign.

EDIT: Boris'burke's wish: Granted, everybody now is a bad apple and behaves in the most antisocial way possible, so it's no longer a matter of just a few spoiling it for the rest.
