flanner: very nice! you live just few steps from forest.. clear air, giant mushrooms, lakes with trouts... ahhhh :-O :D
Then again if I look out from the living room window, I see concrete, a big parking lot and several similar apartment houses where I live. This just happens to be the last one of them all next to a small forest, behind which is a park and a grocery store.

There's a small pond nearby but I don't think it even has any fish, at least fish that even a cat would eat. Maybe some tiny trash fish. But at least the pond gives a steady supply of mosquitos in the summer.

flanner: look this
and as for saudi arabia and some else countries i cant imagine keeping dog as well. poor dog would has to be still closed inside.. who wants troubles with fools from religious police?
Oh, that's just a proposed law, it never went through. And it really couldn't, because Iran makes heavy use of dogs.
As for Saudi Arabia, the sort of people who would own dogs there (rich sheikhs with lots of power, or poor bedouins or nomads or even farmers who live far from the cities) don't have to worry about religious police.
Fun thread, the first photo is from the front of my house during a recent storm. I had to leave my car around my brothers house before it flooded. Ignore the stain on the window as the guttering overflowed.
The second photo is from my back window right now.

What sad, empty birdhouses :D. Shouldn't this be the season that birds would be around?

I usually keep my blinds closed...
I somehow like the sinister atmosphere you have around there and that La Roca thing. Is it a mexican restaurant?

Those flooding looks very threatening. :o
You have a little paradise for birds, very nice, they can even take a bath (?)
We used to have a small pond but now there are mostly brambles you can't get hold of.
Our garden looks a bit like Paradiso Perduto from the modernized Great Expectations movie only less exotic x(

And my view from my PC:

I can watch the May pole getting set up and taken away every year, what a highlight^^

The small birds mostly nest in the hedgerows although I do have a birdbox attached to my wall with a camera in it.
I get to watch blue tits raise their chicks in it. Beautiful birds.

Being German, it's quite disturbing how that species of bird is called in English :o
Anyway a camera view of the interior is really cool, you could consider that a peepshow I guess x)

They certainly look it! I'm not overly familiar with birds, but the ones common enough to recognise and look up that show up here are simply myna birds and hoopoes. Oh, and crows. Loads and loads of crows. The rest I don't know the name for.

Maybe you should start a bird thread :D.
Alright. Two photos taken just a moment ago.

I don't know why but I found this funny, so let's post it. There's the picture of my window's view today. That should be Songdo, the smart city I intend to visit tomorrow morning.

Yes, you may say the window is rather small, and you'd be right... but hey, better than last month's view! Why last month's view is the inside of the room you ask? because I didn't even have a window, that's why!

Yes it is. It probably only looks sinister because it's such a small and old looking town, and I took that early in the morning. It gets busy in the later hours and since it's summer it gets extra busy with all the tourists.

I'll maybe post some shots of my other window views, I have one that lets you see out into the ocean.

Damn, if I would have noticed your post earlier, I could have taken a photo of the other side of that boat! LOL
