The 20th anniversary of the strategy game series from Paradox Interactive has come. To celebrate this occasion, we would like you to not only read our article about the cult series. Until 24th October 2020, 1 PM UTC, Europa Universalis II is yours for the taking as a free giveaway on GOG.COM, so - enjoy!

Apart from that, today we have a treat for all strategy game fans out there. Until 24th October 2020, 1 PM UTC, selected titles from Paradox Interactive will be available on GOG.COM with discounts reaching up to 80%.

That’s not all! The Paradox Strategy Sale comes with completion bundles consisting of 7 great franchises - Age of Wonders, BATTLETECH game, Europa Universalis, Hearts of Iron, Imperator: Rome, Stellaris game, and Surviving Mars. Until 24th October 2020, 1 PM UTC, if you buy at least 3 titles from one collection, you’ll receive an additional 10% discount on those bought games (from the already discounted prices!). Unfortunately that treat is not some new stuff from Paradox :( I'd love to throw some more money to Paradox. But I already have all that I want from what is available right now.

Not sure why, but EUII is not adding to my account.

Also, these bundles are making it ever more imperative to be able to mark games as owned. I have the First Colony Edition of Surviving Mars, and yet "completing my collection" would require me to buy the Season Pass and Digital Deluxe Edition. That... doesn't work.

But no Crusader Kings II or III or Cities Skylines?... I am disappoint. Despite a) owning them on Steam and b) them being DLC vehicles I am sitting here waiting to throw money at you if you bring them here DRM free...

Instead all we get is the standard Paradox "sale"... must be a day ending in "y"

It looks also (with the current bonus discount) we've finally got a good moment to complete my classic Age of Wonders collection.

Another question – is EU III "Complete" really unplayable without "Collection Upgrade" (which triples the price of the base game)?
