It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

IMPORTANT: Please read before posting This topic has been provided to discuss the latest releases of our Downloader (for both Mac and Windows systems) and to submit bug reports. The stable releases (recommended for most users) can be found at this address:http://www.gog.com/downloader.

Latest version:

Mac OS X - 1.2 (build 512)
Windows - 3.6.0

Both Downloaders now have the option of sending Error Reports directly to us (this can be found in app under Settings).

Voltageline: I'm using the latest version of the stable build on Windows 7 64-bit. I tried uninstalling from the control panel and it gave me the "not all files removed" message. I just tried installing the downloader again and it gave me the same "code 5" error message.
Please make sure the Downloader is closed before trying to uninstall. Could you provide a screenshot as well? This may be due to, for example Anti-virus software locking on to the file when you tried to uninstall.

Opera 12: Thanks for the link on Registering Application to a URL Protocol
Adding quotes to the programpath fixed it
"C:\GOGDownloader\GOG.com\GOG.com Downloader.exe" "%1"
at root\gogdownloader\shell\open\command

predcon: All my download attempts are giving me the "Connection error, please try again later!" message. The error message in the logger says "The operation has timed out". Either too many people are trying to download stuff at once, or something else.
We are experiencing heavy load on the servers, please try again.
Make sure you re-download and install the latest build, see sticky post.
This happens when I download the Witcher 1 manual. (screen)

Also, I can't download the Wing Commander 3 bible. Need my log?

Yes, will be appreciated. Does it happen every time? Haven't had problems with it right now from home.

That worked! The downloader was still running and I closed it, which let me install completely. Thank you so much!! :)

Solution provided with PM.
Thanks Fallen_Zen, it's working. Can't believe it's so simple.

Edit: Why bonus content seems to be unresponsive? I need to click couple of time to add it to the downloader.

1. Are you using Stable or Beta version of the Downloader? If it's beta, try with the stable and let me know please if it helped
2. If above is not the case, what browser are you using? Can you please try the same using Chrome or Safari and let me know if there was any difference?

Destro: ...

1. I'm using Stable version.
2. The problem exist on the latest Opera 12. On Comodo Dragon and Chrome they're responsive, no such problem.

Thank you, we'll look into it.
Why is the downloader so much slower? I can't get past 20 KB/s with it. Meanwhile stand-alone downloads from Firefox jam along at 400+ KB/s.

Do you have any antivirus software installed? If so please add an exception to edgecastcdn.net.
