PaterAlf: IndieGameStand finally opened their "Free Games" section:

https://indiegamestand.com/free-games/

I wonder why they did it secretly and didn't at least inform their customers about it?
well it is in beta testing.

"A labyrinth fades into view; a space you control but that holds you. Completely lost with nowhere else you could be..."

FYI the Standpoint dev hasn't been paid 1 cent by Plug in Digital and is trying to terminate their contract. They didn't authorize the IGS deal and they're very upset by it.

Discover pleasure, love, pain, guilt and betrayal. Mess around, run away, hide out, suffer under, heal up, sell off, struggle through, knuckle down, tip over, cave in, dance on! Gameplay is spread out across four huge, ready-to-explore levels full of danger and intrigue. Guide Laika through this narrative involving player choice, upgradable weapons and abilities, and a unique defensive system that turns enemies against themselves. The world of The Sun at Night comes alive via its beautiful hand-drawn art and animation. The official soundtrack is a sprawling collection of songs by acclaimed chip composer Jared Blondeau."
New deal is Grey Cubes.

If you haven't played Ittle Dew, does that detract from the enjoyment of this game, that you won't know the characters, etc.?

No, it does not matter at all. The games just share the same weird humor and you will recognize some creatures from Ittle Dew (as well as from other games by the same devs) on the cards, but there is no direct relation in the story-telling. It's absolutely not required that you've played Ittle Dew in order to enjoy Card City Nights. But it's a fun game nevertheless, so unless you already own it or you hate Zelda-style gameplay, get Ittle Dew, too! (And then play whatever you want to play first.)

Holy shit that's a great game.

(Each time a great game is on IGS, I want to buy the elite subscription. I would've bought it long ago if I could pick the charity the 10% goes to.)
New deal from IndieGameStand is Chainsaw Warrior (DRM-Free/Steam). BTA for Chainsaw Warrior: Lords of the Night (Steam-only).

"Chainsaw Warrior from Games Workshop is the classic nail-biting game for one strong-nerved player! It's the year 2032 and spatial warping has opened a hole into another dimension in the midst of the old municipal buildings at the heart of Manhattan. Bizarre and dangerous creatures are flooding into our dimension, intent on destruction. Behind their actions is a controlling intelligence known as 'Darkness', who intends to drag New York back into the warp – destroying it utterly!

Air strikes, ground assaults and WMDs have all failed to stop the swarming forces from beyond. All that remains is a single hope: a shadowy ex-special forces soldier, enhanced for combat and known only as 'Chainsaw Warrior'. Equipped with all the latest high-tech armaments, he must battle his way through to the trans-dimensional ground-zero and defeat Darkness. Not only are there swarms of zombies, mutants, traps, Chaos Agents and other twisted denizens between him and Darkness, time is the enemy too! Only an hour remains to save New York before it is torn from our world forever.

First published as a solo boardgame in 1987, it has been updated, translated and re-engineered for the digital generation. In Chainsaw Warrior it's just you against both the clock and a tide of evil! Can you prevail where all others have failed? You only have 60 minutes to save New York!"
