This looks cool... glad to see more devs taking advantage of cross-play MP.

That's gorgeous! Hopefully they also incorporate more modern thinking on the 3D controls, like games such as Retrovirus have done.

Any chance of a demo?
Great, I love gog's in dev. program so far.
It looksgood (although I don't know if it would run well on my computer) but the cherry on the cake would be to see the original series back on GOG.
I wonder if they came here so late because of the not so positive reviews on Steam.
I'd probably jump in on GOG late for a pre-release since you still can't edit your reviews here. I wouldn't want "Everything is broken and there's no single player" to be an eternal curse on the game.

That's something GOG really needs to get on fixing, especially now that they're offering games that are still being developed.
If the devs would really like to be thought of favorably & show sincere goodwill they should allow the return of the games they had yanked from sale last year.

Looking forward to see how this game turns out but I am going to remain cautious. I hope just D:U isn't going to have wide open areas with weapons that move too slow to hit enemies that move too fast like in D3.

Also hoping we'll see the original 3 games back here..............along with Duke Nukem
YES! I hope that the original Descent games would also come back to GOG.

The default controls were absolutely laid out with modern sensibilities in mind. WASD with Q&E for roll (as an extension of "lean" in games like FEAR) and Space and LCtrl for vertical movement (as an extension of jump and crouch). Of course, these are all fully configurable, so, if these aren't quite optimum for you, they can be changed.

As for a demo, we're planning on putting one out a little before the full release.

For those of you asking about the original Descent games, those are outside of Descendent Studios' control. We do not own the Descent franchise, we merely license it. They were removed from sale due to circumstances purely external to us.

Confused about silly origin stuff. Is it an offshoot of Descent? How did you guys snag the franchise; I'm glad you did, I wasn't a fan of the first couple of them but this looks amazing.
The first half of the trailer makes me wish for a story-driven singleplayer campaign. Reminded me a lot of "The Expanse".
