JKHSawyer: The lead developer has said GOG wants to see a "final build" to judge its quality before they decide.
It's nice to know that GOG will sell this game is the quality is acceptable.

DreamedArtist: is that game still coming to steam? and if it does come here to GOG it will bring a whole lot of new users just watch, I know it would be real good for gog to accept the final product from those guys.

PaterAlf: I don't know. Right at the moment it looks like a very mediocre game. I can understand that GOG wants to see the final build before they make a decision.
The environmental destruction looks really cool (based on the trailer), but I can't bring myself to purchase it just based on mass slaughter of innocent people. (Postal 2 has a lot more to it than that, especially humor and Postal Dude's voice and loads of secrets; on my third playthrough I was still finding secrets.) If it's fun/well-made and somebody creates a mod where you slaughter "bad guys" of some sort, whether aliens, zombies, etc., I'd be much more likely to purchase.

Navagon: In other words, they want to see how the dust settles on this one before committing themselves either way.
Yep, there are other unfinished games available for pre-order, so I think this is the real reason.

Seeing how the system requirements seem to be quite high, many people won't be able to play it anyway.

It's just that throughout?
Well.. It is well known that GOG throws dice to decide which games to release so we will see.

With how many sides?
Q: Hatred on gog?
A: I hope so ;)

I understand their caution. But not only is it a bit weak, but made weaker by the fact that they're not stating the real reason for their delayed conclusion. It's all a bit too political and these days that just rubs me up the wrong way.

Agreed, people/companies/states don't keep their politics out of anything anymore.

It's getting worse in the games industry lately. Especially with all this gamergate bullshit. I just wish people went back to telling it how it is. It's not like it's a big deal to say "We're unsure about what kind of response this title will generate and would rather sit on the sidelines for a couple of weeks after release to see how things pan out elsewhere before committing ourselves". So why not just do that? It's a reasonable position to take - just so long as you state plainly that it's your position.

As we saw in every major update in the last year: Honesty isn't an option.
Bump...
There is no Hatred on GOG. We are all peaceful here and have been known to dance with unicorns on evergreen plains with rainbow backdrops.
