JKHSawyer: The lead developer has said GOG wants to see a "final build" to judge its quality before they decide.
avatar
F4LL0UT: Whatever that is supposed to mean since GOG does allow pre-orders of (at least some) games long before they are finished.
But 4 months?

realkman666: But 4 months?
I'm not sure what the longest pre-order period has been so far, excluding the Witcher games where GOG obviously has no doubts concerning the quality of the final product.
JKHS had a more detailed answer, but I'll share the one I got too.

"We are in touch with GOG, but we can't tell nothing more yet :) We don't want to announce anything before we will have an agreement :)"

micktiegs_8: OP, it's not even expected to be available until June/July so I'm not sure why you're asking this early...
avatar
Licurg: I saw the pre-order on Desura, and wanted to know why it wasn't on GOG too .
And what I'm saying is, what's the difference if you can spend you're money on it now or later if GOG puts it up later? There is no difference because you still can't play it. A preorder is still a preorder even if it's a day before the game releases.

Does anyone know if this is "normal" behavior for GOG for any reason (relatively unknown Devs or the rating the game got)?

Pretty normal as far as I can tell, I know a developer who is making a first person dungeon crawler (that is in the late stages of development) that got in touch with GOG, GOG basically said come back to us when you have a final build.

I guess they learned from the Dark Matter fiasco. In that case they decided to sell it without seeing the final build and in the end the game was so crappy and uncomplete that they had to take it down and refund their customers.

DOH!, I honestly forgot about that
is that game still coming to steam? and if it does come here to GOG it will bring a whole lot of new users just watch, I know it would be real good for gog to accept the final product from those guys.

I was asking if it's coming to GOG at all... So I know if I should wait .

Maighstir: No, the Poles are just angry that French- and German-speakers have the site translated, but there's no Polish-language version yet.
I don't care :) AD&D games are the only part of GOG that I wanted to see translated to Polish. Now that's already here so I'm fine with the rest of GOG in English.

I don't know. Right at the moment it looks like a very mediocre game. I can understand that GOG wants to see the final build before they make a decision.

Saying that they will sell the game, just because the developers created a lot of buzz could be a very bad decision in the end.
If Gaben accepts that game, I don't think GOG would do the opposite.

GOG refused plenty of games that are on Steam because they thought they wouldn't fit, or wouldn't make enough sales. *Shrug* We'll see in 4 month, I guess.

I want to trade. I'd give "my" translated site to be translated in polish and for that I don't get to be excluded to buy some games - how about that? Since the German release of the site as a German I don't need to care if the game will be sold on GOG because I am pretty sure it won't be avalable to Germans.
