It does make me wonder just how many submissions Gog receives —— are there myriad unsolicited spam-like game curation requests that the front-facing team members must cut a swathe through every time they log on, perhaps? Or is it, as feared merely a very poorly worded unprofessional (to call it "emo" would not be out of line) response?
There is also an opportunity here to use the community. Properly organized, people could beta-test games for Gog (using a (set of) standard vanilla configuration(s) to make sure a prospective game was able to work) in teams of virtual testers. (This would require a lot of organization, though.)
