== BUG REPORTING ==

Please use: http://mantis.gog.com and include
1. steps to reproduce the bug (if possible)
2. screenshot or movie showing the bug (if possible)
3. Galaxy Client logs (see below)

Where can I find Galaxy logs on my computer?
On Windows 7 or later: C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\Logs
On Mac OS X: /Users/Shared/GOG.com/Galaxy/Logs

== FEATURE SUGGESTIONS ==

Please use: http://www.gog.com/wishlist/galaxy. For feature suggestions and votes on them please try do explain how Galaxy and its users will really benefit from it.

== IMPORT ALREADY INSTALLED GAMES TO GALAXY ==

1. For GOG games installed using installers from the last few months (so called Galaxy-compatible installers)
Click the Galaxy logo button on top of the sidebar and select "scan and import folders" - it will find all compatible games within that folder and add them to the Client.

2. For remaining GOG game INSTALLATIONS
Find the game in the Library (click on the image of the game), then click the More button and select "Manage Installation" -> "Import folder" and point the folder selector into the folder where that game is installed.

== KNOWN ISSUES ==
- throttling max download speed is not yet possible
- notifications related to incoming chat messages and friend requests does not always disappear instantly when consumed and may require reloading Store page
- games imported from existing installations will auto-update once, even if updating is disabled
- Moving Galaxy from /Applications on Mac OS X will stop the app from working
- Galaxy cannot be launched by other users on the same computer

For everyone who has a problem with missing api-ms-crt dlls in Client's versions post 1.1.5:
Please install one of those windows update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2999226 https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3118401
You may need to update Windows to meet the requirements for these:
For Windows 8.1 and for Windows Server 2012: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2919355
For Windows 7 and for Windows Server 2008 R2: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/976932

You can also try reinstalling Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables 2015 (x86) if you meet above requirements.
Available here: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=48145

If above instructions doesn't work for you, create a separate issue on mantis.gog.com and we'll try to help you individually.

Please note that this solution only helps with the missing api-ms-crt dlls.

========================================================================================

Answering this question: Why 1.1 doesn't work after updating to 1.2?

This is happening probably due to incompatible database from version 1.2, please delete this folder:
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\GOG.com\Galaxy\storage
usually
C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\storage\

Then you'll have to use scan&import (menu under the top Galaxy logo) function to see your games back in Galaxy Client.

mike_cesara: Doesn't look bad at all, however, after few minutes I don't really mind how big pixels are ; )
Are you sure game isn't blocked with firewall? You can use direct IP if you know someone who hosts the game.
avatar
BKGaming: It is most likely a firewall issue, had the exact same thing, but never tried to fix it as I don't really play online much. Allowed the game through the firewall and now I see the servers.
This or The Great US firewall : D
I use to do lan parties in the past, it was always fun as hell. Now I rarely play online but I did try The Rise of the Triad. Not bad, not bad at all.
I would like to see Gwent standalone here. With multplayer of course, perhaps even integrated with GoG service..

Hmm, still no dice.

Disabled Windows Firewall and Software Firewall.

I don't see why it wouldn't see the servers it sees Gog's servers when downloading the TROTT GOG Galaxy update files before I could launch.

No clue to be honest.. Can you see changelog in ROTT launcher? When I block the game on firewall I can't get neither log nor servers..

Yes I get the Apogee Launcher screen with the Change Log inside. I'll try and copy and paste it and place it in a text file as proof.

I'm going to reboot the computer and relaunch into GOG Galaxy to make sure any files need updating.

Then reinstall TROTT from scratch and then let GOG Galaxy patch it again for network play and give it another shot.

Okay when connecting to GOG Galaxy after importing TROTT after installation it will start downloading this
173MB file at a download speed of 0.5->0.6 Megabytes / second.

Suggestion to GOG Team:

Any chance TROTT GOG Galaxy update file(s) can be downloaded off the GOG website library instead as a standalone patch?

173MB file downloaded and now "UPDATING" status... Whatever this patch is it's taking its sweet time.

I'm probably just going to backup the "Rise of the Triad (2013)" folder so next time I won't have to deal with this delay.

I think it's done just stuck on the "UPDATING" Moving 100.0%.

Okay...

Same result again.

I took a snap of the Change log in the Apogee Launcher. I copy copy and paste the text but it's way too long to post.

Perhaps you could try more -> manage -> verify/repair in Galaxy..

The slow downloading of the TROTT level editor from the library accessed via my browser not GOG Galaxy only occurs when inside GOG Galaxy it began downloading that 173MB TROTT patch file. Once the 173MB TROTT patch file finished the TROTT level editor I was downloading in the browser jumped back up to normal peak download speeds.

No LOG files found in :

X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\GOG.com\Galaxy\

For TROTT or any other GOG Galaxy network game to be added,

Is there a default IP address and port for the GOG Galaxy transmissions?

I want to try to force it open on my router as a last resort as I only have TROTT for testing and no luck seeing any servers for Multiplayer.

Interesting...

X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\GOG.com\Galaxy

there is no redists folder and also no GalaxyCommunication.exe file anywhere

Ahh... did some more digging... the path to mine is located here:

X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\GOG.com\Galaxy\redists

I even added GalaxyUpdater.exe to my Firewall exceptions.

Going to see if this did anything.

Okay same result. No servers.

Possible bug:

On a side note earlier I tried hosting a server and chose spectator mode. Alt-tabbed back to the desktop. Later when I went back into the game and then Quit to Menu. The game kept showing those intermission tidbits non stop one after another in a constant loop. I couldn't make it quit out. Tried the Windows key, Alt tabbing, Ctrl+Esc, and Alt+F4. It wouldn't quit out. Is there an in game keyboard command to exit the program besides using the Menu? Back in the day Ctrl+X, F10, Ctrl+C, Alt + X and a few others used to be the way to do things before Windows.

I think GOG should either release some older game for multiplayer for just testing purposes for users. Some 2D scroller in the hundred MB size range so it's a fast download. This TROTT is a beast of a download.

Probably the easiest would be adapting one of those Worms 2D games into GOG Play.

Worms Fort was a freebie not too long ago so probably a bunch of people have it.

Any chance this could be adapted for GOG Galaxy next on the list?

Thanks, I've made a report on that site.

By backup installers, do you mean the installers downloaded directly from the GOG site? I can download those files.

I can't download anything in the Galaxy client though. Today, for the first time in a long time, Galaxy managed to get the file files to verify TW3, but when I paused the download, the Server Problem issue came back.

Merry Christmas, and have a good New Year!

Have a Merry Christmas fellow Goggers, Galaxiers, and especially the GOG team.

Thanks for the hard work you've put in keeping this site alive DRM free and continuing to innovate it with GOG Galaxy and beyond!

So, the simple, trusty and non intrusive GOG downloader got phased out by this? I just tried Galaxy and let me tell you is no more in my PC.

Sorry for the rude comment, I just don't like GOG Galaxy and what it wants to be, I just want the old downloader whose only purpose was to download games...

Of course, no point in supporting something that is built into Galaxy, which can download standalone installers just like the downloader. Granted they probably should have waited to Galaxy was more stable.

Then download via browser with a good download manger. Not much different from the downloader. Your kind of late on this complaint seeing as the downloader has been fazed out for a while now.

Is there a way to remove list of ppl i chatted with? I don't mean friends of course, just some users i chatted just once to give or trade game keys. I keep seeing all of them. I don't want to block them, just to remove from my chat list.

I couldn't find any info about that in this thread.

Something that is barely built into Galaxy (its just too buggy right now) and we all know it will take some time to fix this properly, why not keep the Good Old GOG Downloader, no need to support it, I believe it was pretty stable all the time (atleast while they polished Galaxy's download aspects a bit more).

And no, I'm not late, this was going to happen early complaint or not, finally, using a third party software other than GOG's own software is not an option, like to keep my PC clean. :)
