Timboli: @OP - It is a server issue I believe, likely due to where you live.

I have certainly had to put up with such slow speeds in the past for weeks on end, always during a big sale at GOG, but that is no excuse when it extends to not only all day, but days and even weeks.

It eventually came good for me and has been pretty good since. Last incident was last year or early this one. I can only presume they fixed the server or got another one or paid for more servers.

My regular and usually quite reliable connection, is 50 Megabit (roughly 5 MB/s a second, because you never get the full 50).

I kept complaining here at GOG, until it finally improved.
Wow no that proves it, glad you shared this thank you :) GOT SKYRIM LEZZZ GO BOYS

Understood won't happen again, are we at least going to have this issue be brought up to the staff though? I wouldn't wish for my childish behavior to overshadow the issue

Start by trying some of the solutions already proposed.

This whole thing sounds as if the problem is based on your geographical location. I can only assume that GOG does the same as every other company in the world and uses spread servers, different ones for every area in the world. And if could be, that the ones for New Zealand are not connected properly or use a bad route.

Try to use a free VPN masking your IP with one from the US, see if that improves the download speed.

Did you follow Clownski's instructions and wrote a ticket already? That's the best way to bring the issue up to the staff.
