It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Crewdroog: actually, I think i'm gonna open another thread for this. this one is all fucked up.
Have you downloaded the new update for Firefox which should make it version 40.0.3 or do you still have 40.0.2?

I haven't been getting anymore crashes because of Chat with Firefox now that its updated to the latest version.

edit: Nope, I have 40.0.3, let me try again to see if it crashes.

moonshineshadow: Nope. no java here.
Okay...was only a guess because that's only difference with my FFs on both OS because everything else should be (more or less) the same...
I had the issue a couple of times the other day - I had just reinstalled Windows and was worried it was a screw up somewhere on my end I was going to have to figure out.

But then I realised it only happed when gog chat was open. It hasnt happened since I turned adblock plus off and cleared firefox cache etc completely - it is difficult to know if this is coincidence (it happened a few times in a row before this though so it seems connected).
I am using firefox 40.0.3 and not having any crashes currently and i've been sending chats since I replied to stg83. It looks like this may be the solution.

Anyone having crashes while using 40.0.3?

Good, hopefully it stays that way for you and the other folks that are having trouble with the crashes. :)

No problem, just thought it might help as I was having a similar problem initially with Firefox 40.0.2 as well. :)

ElTerprise: Yes.
sigh, crap. did you do all the fun that the gog people said to do? clear cache and stuff?

edit: i just recently (two weeks ago) got this computer, so the stuff they said to do may help.

Thats unfortunate, if nothing else resolves the issue then the last resort is to refresh Firefox to its default state if you don't have a problem with doing so.

I just noticed that there is also the alternative to use Galaxy to chat.
