Nice idea---I got so many gaming fails that I cannot remember many of them. At least I do know that a lot of them involved saving less often then it would have been good for me! One of last year GOGParty@Gamescom: Playing a lot of ShovelKnight and just getting it so good to always just run into the first bosses attacks!
Having bought that one soon after I wasn´t loosing a life at all, I just thought WTF have you DONE?!
I´d like to be in for Creatures I...
Not in,
but when I remember running away form a shiny pokemon (Zubat or linoone i think) without realizing.

Roxolani: I'm in for: Commandos Ammo Pack

Reever: You can only be in if you share one of your gaming fails with us ;)
Hmm...

My memorable failure was The Binding of Isaac (the original version + Wrath of the Lamb DLC). Every time I played BoI, I hoped that I could get good items to finish it. BoI looks like an easy game, but if you want 100% completion (Golden God) or 110% completion (Platinum God), you must play it many times to learn the BoI world! :D

Another one was Castlevania: Lords of Shadow. You should play this game with a controller, otherwise you'll say goodbye to this game after meeting the Second Titan Boss. Even if you beat the second titan with your keyboard, the games needs a good game controller for the next levels. CLoS forced me to buy gamepad! :)) Some PC games are just not developed for the keyboard and mouse.
My biggest gaming fail, was lending my friend a disk of my playstation Final Fantasy 7, then moving away forgetting I lent them the disk, only to find out after getting to the final disk in a replay that the disk was missing.

Thanks for the giveaway, I'd like to be in for http://www.gog.com/game/creatures_the_albian_years to complete my trilogy of the series.
I would like to be in for the game "Screamer 4x4". Thanks for the giveaway! +1

I had many failures all those years but i'll describe my latest one:

It's been some days I'm trying to win an skirmish battle 1vs1 on easy in Warcraft III and i can't.. WTF, am i a total noob or what? It's been years since i played WIII for the last time and I decided to install it just for some skirmish battles, just to remember the good old times. I'm sure there is a way/strategy to beat the AI but i haven't found/remember it. And honestly, i don't want to check for tips or walkthrough because i've became too stubborn right now and i'll find the way by myself.. or die trying. :D
Not in, but great giveaway.

WarCraft 3 the Frozen Throne. I could not beat the last level. I tried and tried but couldn't do it. I finally cheated to see the ending. Don't know why it was so tough for me. My brother had no problems with it lol.
Great giveaway theme. :) Thanks, Reever.
I'd like to be in for Commandos Ammo Pack.

My biggest gaming fail was in the PlayStation days when I accidentally deleted the wrong FFVIII save game from the memory card and lost 150h of progress...
The most notable recent gaming fail was not being able to get past the first "zone" in La-Mulana after 7 hours of trying... Which reminds I should continue my never-ending La-Mulana failure at some point in the near future.

I am IN,you can choose a game if I win-thanks once again
Not IN

not a specific game per se, but if the game has pits of lava or spikes or pure abyss, I will fail at it miserably. over and over and over again.

Oh come on, sometimes it feels like some people can't even be bothered to read how a giveaway works. There IS an entry condition, you know. It's in the damn title of the thread :D

word

i saw this too, was gonna post and then was like, meh. if they can't be bothered to even read to get free games, why should I correct them?
In for Cannon Fodder. Thanks!

I never was able to beat Syndicate. I got all the way to the final level and it just kicked my ass over and over. I just couldn't do it. I need to try again someday soon. Speaking of Cannon Fodder, that game beat me pretty badly, too, although that was on the Atari Jaguar version. Maybe I'd have more luck on the PC version, with a mouse :)

Sorry,I forgot about adding my game failure:it was Tomb Raider 3-the London boss-couldn't beat that blonde bit.ch-I discovered on youtube 10 years later how to beat her and I was suprised how easy it was
Not in, but +1 for the nice giveaway.

I failed miserably in Alpha Protocol. I simply couldn't defeat that russian kid with his knives. I played a stealthy character. I tried to hide and avoid his goons (but they spawn from iirc 3 different entrances and the direction #4 is the stage with that damn boy. I've never managed to get him down to less than half his health, then he would catch up with me and just cut me to pieces in melee. I even had poisoned the kid's cocaine which should make the battle a lot easier (I don't want to think about how quickly I'd die when he would have the real stuff).

TBH I found most of the game fairly easy and pretty well done - only some of the bosses are PITA.
Since there are a bit less than 30 hours of the promo left, I'll just close this tomorrow evening.

You sure I should be the one to choose your game? :D
If you don't want something in particular, why even be in? :P

Alpha Protocol is on my humongous backlog, hopefully I'll get to it at some point. Will just lower the difficulty/look for some tips if I can't progress.

I could only complete the first PoP because I used cheats. But it's also supposedly pretty tricky to play with only keyboard and mouse (yeah, it sucks at times). But I loved these games, the atmosphere is just great. Especially in Warrior Within. That music rocks =)
