-------------------------------------------GIVEAWAY HAS ENDED---------------------------------

Hello everybody!
So, I got quite lucky over the holidays (both with the Secret Santa and trentonlf's after-Santa GA), so it's time to give back a bit =)

There will be up to four winners, which can choose any one 1,xx game Euro/Dollar game (e.g. the Cannon Fodder games) from the current promo.
Please state the game you're in for! The GA will end in exactly two days, so I can still have time to get your games =)

Following rules:
- Registered since at least December 2014
- At least 20 rep (or get somebody to vouch you're an active forum member. No time to check that myself, tbh, that's why I still have the requirement there, sorry!)
- You can only be in for yourself, so everybody's got the same chance.
- Please redeem the game yourself! =)

Also, to take part in the GA (or if you just want to share your story, but then please say you're not in ;)) please share your gaming fails with us!

I'm going first: started yet another playthrough of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within. I'm playing on easy, but I'm still dying regulary, in big part because of the parkour which I fail at when I have to get to the next platform or ledge :D But ah well, you fail, then you learn, you get it right, then you fail again xD
(I'm playing with keyboard/mouse, too)

So, how about you guys?

not in +1

D.A.I. tried once to get thru Prologue and failed, haven't been back since and I doubt I ever will..
When i played Dune 2 I won all campaigns, only the last Harkonnen level was left. But after two fails I was fed up and stopped playing.

I'm in for Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail
Not in! +1 ;)

Empire Earth (or RTS in general, EE is the highlight) Easiest Mode, smallest map, only me x AI = My arse being kicked.
EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Also, apparently the brick I have where my brain should be renders me unable to beat any Megaman game ever made.
I'm in for Leisure Suit Larry: Love for Sail :)

I have failed at many games, many times. The funniest fail however is probably from GTA III (at least I think that's the one, it was a long time ago). In one of the first missions I was supposed to steal a guys car, set a bomb in it, and bring it back to him. In case I damaged the car along the way, I was supposed to get it fixed, so he would not notice. Well, I got the bomb set, left the car back where I took it from, but I forgot to fix some damage, so I got back into the car... and blew myself up, as the bomb was primed after I got out. Today that would probably unlock some sort of Your Assissination Attempt Blows Achievement.
Hi!

I am NOT in, and my biggest big failure in a game Zelda, Ocarina Of TIme Master Quest. This version was the exact game history, but puzzles, dungeons and enemies were harder to kill. The big fail I stuck on was later in the game where you have to get the blue flame.

** SPOILER ALERT **

Well there was a blue flame that you need and I tried all to get. Of course, I didn't think you have to use a bottle in a flame, like, what for? You don't want to melt the glass. Well, Zelda developers don't care about that and indeed you need the bottle to get the flame. Damn, it took me days turning around several places just to found that.

Also, in the same chamber, you will need to open a door, but the button for that was under the floor. At first I thought it was a glitch, but after realize the button is there and you have to press it I was all lost about how to get there. The solution was to place a bomb on top of it...

** SPOILER END **

Anyway, I have had several others fails, but I think those were the most iconic since happens to me when was a kid. Thanks for the chance, and good luck to you all!

Not in~ :)

I was failing miserable at Alan Wake, getting killed over and over again, until I discovered that there's a setting for difficulty, so I switched to Easy mode.

... and I'm still dying. hahaha I'll try again now that I have a controller, but I'm not sure the results are going to be much different *snicker*

with the sands of time quintology or whatever it is - i used to failed at time rewind as i would let go of the button too early, and end up wasting them
Not in & +1! :D Can't think of any gaming fail right now.. :P
In for Creatures: The Albian Years.

The Game FTL is the very definition of the topic. One way I've frequently died, and still might die today...
One common strategy involves micromanagement of power. You can get by with a little less power through "borrowing" it from "non-essential" systems such as oxygen (as there is plenty to survive most battles without it). By using the extra power for an extra layer of shields of extra dodge or to power an extra weapon, it can shift the course of battle.

Don't know how many times I've finished a battle, walked away to grab a drink and either come back to the dying screams of my crew or found them dead because I forget to turn the oxygen back on after the battle...
I'm in for Imperial Glory.

Let's see now...

It took me roughly 2,000 deaths to complete I Wanna Be The Guy. It took me nearly a decade to complete Dungeon Siege 1 because I kept losing interest in it.

In a game of NetHack, I once died on the second turn. There was a scroll at my starting location. I picked it up and read it. It was a scroll of earthquake and a boulder fell on my head, killing me.

Elmofongo: Is it alright if I can ask for at least one of 3 games I am interested? If so:

I am in for Commandos Ammo Pack

If someone won Commandos Ammo Pack than Commandos 2+3

Ditto for Overlord+Raising Hell if someone won Commandos 2+3

But in all honestly I don't know why the Commandos games are not together as a trilogy pack. Oh well.

Anyway my gaming fail was forgotteing to get the silverite ore in the Silverite Mines in the Dragon Age Awakening Expansion.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the games will be bought specially as gifts for the winners, then in theory all four winners can get the same game, right? It's not like I can't buy the same game as gift multiple times for different people.

Also, Overlord is in the wrong price range ;)

Not in, but +1 for your generous heart!

Gaming fails, well considering that I am currently in my annual replay of Mario Sunshine and it still takes me 30+ tries to get past the Ghost tower in Hotel Delfino (ep 2) ...yeah, I guess I am prone to those. LOL

Its the successes that stand out more than the flops with reflexes like mine ;)
