Bookwyrm627: [...] I've spent the past ~2 hours rereading Dedo. I'm satisfied that he is town (for now).[...]
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Elaborate, what about him made you reconsider?
I see him actively asking questions AND leaving his thoughts in the thread. He didn't obsess over any particular thing, and seems to be genuinely scum hunting.

I had some squinty eyes for him for awhile while he was posting, though there wasn't anything I could really point to.

For comparison: One of the reasons I was concerned over your posting was the apparent fascination with continuing to pursue the bit about roll calls possibly being useful. Another reason was a feeling of a lack of exposing yourself while asking questions (I can't think of a way to rephrase that which won't have a dirty implication); like you're collecting other people's opinions without revealing your own. You've since down more of posting your own opinions (and Hunter took a swing at you over some of them).

No, I haven't invested the two plus hours to comb through an ISO of you, yet.

avatar
Bookwyrm627: Mary, Mary, quite contrary
How does your garden grow?

Vote Hunter.

With blood and tears and no more years
of Village Awards to show.
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Again, elaborate.
Hunter's character name is Mary...wait. Well booping boop. Trent's name is Mary Porter, not Hunter.

Ugh. Now the poem doesn't make any sense at all. It was supposed to be a clever little thing about how Mary (Hunter) is the CL (dissuading people from striving for Village of the Year), using an old poem that starts similarly ("Mary, Mary, quite contrary").

avatar
HypersomniacLive: Under which circumstances in the current (Cult C9 semi-open) setup would we not have a second day?
If we lynch the CL today, then there is no second day.
avatar
Krypsyn: Same deal applies, just reply to this if you decide to edit.
Same deal does not apply, since it's the second time this game day. Option to edit comes with a post restriction, he is free to choose whether to edit or not.
Yeah, one mistake is not so bad, subsequent mistakes are.

Okay, then... My mistake. I should have checked with you first.
Sorry, got called away; received some good news though.

avatar
dedoporno: [...] Really? Are you asking this for real or are you fucking with me, just to not respond to my post without asking a question?

Anyway, my understanding is that if we manage to hit the CL today they game will be over. [...]
Sorry, neither. The exchanges preceding your post put the case of not hitting the CL Today in my mind, that's what I was thinking when reading your post, and what prompted my question.

avatar
dedoporno: [...] Do you think it won't be ending today? [...]
Well, if I end up being the lynch, it most certainly won't. It can go either way with anyone else getting lynched; I have no way of knowing if the one getting lynched is the CL before seeing the flip. Do I think we have a good chance with Hunter65536? I do, and certainly hope so, but I can't dismiss the Day may not end.

avatar
dedoporno: [...] That's a fair point. Still, I don't think it nullifies what I said earlier.
No, it doesn't, but a few things have to fall in place to see it.

avatar
Bookwyrm627: [...] like you're collecting other people's opinions without revealing your own. [...]
Well, a quick skim through your own ISO says you've done more or less the same.

avatar

I thought it doesn't make sense. But since you haven't reread me, why are you voting Hunter65536?

avatar
Krypsyn: [...]

Do you want to fix that post too, HypersomniacLive? It seems perfectly legible to me, but feel free if you think it needs it. Same deal applies, just reply to this if you decide to edit.

edit: Actually, I was wrong. Same deal does not apply.
My OCD initially made me want to fix it, but I'll pass.

avatar
JMich: Same deal does not apply, since it's the second time this game day. Option to edit comes with a post restriction, he is free to choose whether to edit or not.
Yeah, one mistake is not so bad, subsequent mistakes are.
Neither of the two messes is me making a mistake. No offence, but you basically want to punish me for GOG's screw up - that security fix they applied is causing all these issues. And no, "you know about it" doesn't quite cover it, as the messes manifest only after the post(s) go live; they show perfectly fine in the BE preview window of quick posts as well as the edit ones. So thanks, but no thanks, I won't take the punishment; I just won't bother myself anymore.
I think for the greater good we should lynch Krypsyn, I mean if he doesn’t die day one he might not feel right ;-)

@Hyper, It’s day one and all I really have is gut reactions that I’m basing my reads off of. I don’t have detailed notes or any notes at all, I honestly have never taken a single note in any game. If I’m concerned or curious about someone I ISO them when I’m on my PC instead of my phone using adalia’s script. I see see how the flow of their thoughts, actions, and interactions are and base my reads off of that. If something in particular stands out I will address it. So why do I think you and Hunter are probably town, that’s the feel I get when I go over y’all’s posts.
avatar
HypersomniacLive: Well, if I end up being the lynch, it most certainly won't.
Do you see yourself getting lynched in the next few hours? Of course, it's not impossible, but do you think it's probable enough to consider it?
So, trentonlf, nothing felt off then? OK.

dedoporno: Do you see yourself getting lynched in the next few hours? Of course, it's not impossible, but do you think it's probable enough to consider it?
Not really, it was more a tongue in cheek way to stress the difference.

But let me ask you - if it somehow became a choice between me or No-Lynch, would you still not vote me?

Forgot to vote before

Vote Hunter65536

Still worried about dedoporno for the reasons I've said, but it looks like nobody else but trentonlf shares them.

That would mean that 4 other people see you as more scummy than everyone else which means things either developed differently or something changed - either way the situation is probably different that what we currently have, so yes, it's a possibility that I would do it, maybe even not to avoid no lynch but because it feels correct.

If Hunter and I were @L-1 right now and claims didn't play a role would you pick me instead?

Yes and no. I've certainly put myself out there (and am (arguably) the first one to step into the limelight), and I have given my opinions on players and placed votes along with statements of intent-to-lynch.

avatar
HypersomniacLive: I thought it doesn't make sense. But since you haven't reread me, why are you voting Hunter65536?
You aren't getting lynched today, regardless of whatever opinion of you I might hold. It would take Dedo (the most likely candidate) doing an about-face and the rest of us that might be willing to all jump on. 3 people have explicitly expressed intent not to vote you, and I'm pretty sure you've explicitly stated you won't be voting yourself.

I'm pretty sure it has come down to Lift and Hunter as the only viable candidates, and at the moment I think I prefer Hunter of the two.
Sorry for the bad play this game, kinda estimated it would be night when I would be out for vacation and may have overreacted to trivial stuff. Either way I don’t want to drag this out.
Unvote
Vote Hunter65536
And that would be lynch.

Stop conversation in the game thread.

JMich will be along shortly to post an end of Day flavor post, I am sure.

Krypsyn: JMich will be along shortly to post an end of Day flavor post, I am sure.
I will? Oh, that's right, I am.

Arguments have been erupting back and forth all day, though by the time evening comes they seem to have focused towards one person, James Reaper.
"It's obviously you who no longer believes in the Greater Good, I have seen how you look at weird fences."
"Yeah, one could think you'd like to spend some time alone with those that trimmed their hedges to look like animals."
"Not to mention how you always praise your mamma's cooking, even though it's not worth a damn."
Frank Butterman interrupts at that point.
"Alright people, let's not start insulting Mrs Reaper, it's bad enough as it is that we are already fighting among ourselves, no need to drag others into this. Come on James, it's time to go."
Frank and James leave the room, and some time later Frank returns.
"Terrible, terrible accident. It seems that our dear friend Mr Reaper has somehow managed to trip into his wood chipper while it was running. No idea what he was doing operating it in the middle of the night, but it was obviously an accident. I looked over his place, but it seems like he was a loyal NWA member."

Hunter65536 has been lynched. He was James Reaper, town vanilla.
Night 1 has started. Anyone with a night action should send it now.
Night 1 will end Sunday evening or Monday morning.

P.S. The observer thread is still empty. If there are any would be observers, feel free to ask for the QT link.

flubbucket: I am for reaching a lynch. So I'm willing to switch my vote. However.....
avatar
dedoporno: What are your alternatives? Are you willing to switch to whomever?
I'm willing to secure a lynch. The only player I'm certain about is flubbucket.

avatar
HypersomniacLive: The Greater Good

avatar
flubbucket: [...] And for my first Night Action
avatar
HypersomniacLive: [emphasis added]

That looks a tad like a Freudian slip...

.................
A Freudian slip is when you say one thing when you actually mean your mother.
Early the next morning, Frank Butterman welcomes the 7 of you back to the hotel's meeting room so you can continue your discussions. Joyce Cooper does seem lost in her crossword, but she reluctantly moves in with the rest of you.

- "Alright, we're all sad to hear about James' accident, so let's make sure no more accidents occur to those of us that are working for the Greater Good".
- "The Greater Good".
- "Now, I'm sure you are all eager to find those traitors in our midst, so I'm going to leave you to it. And for crying out loud Joyce, put down that crossword"
Joyce looks at Frank and says: "Fascist"
- "I beg your pardon?"
- "Fascist. System of government categorized by extreme dictatorship. Seven across."
- "Oh, for God's sake. And it's fascism"

Day 2 has started
With 7 of you alive, it takes 4 to lynch. There are two lynch cycles this day, all votes are reset once lynch is reached.

Flubbucket has a posting restriction. He must begin each of his posts (after any roll call requirements) with a word, then end his post with the crossword definition of it. See fascist example above.
