Don't be jealous. Yogs has two eyes as far as I know. You both can have one.

(Trying to make light of that comment Flub - but I really hope it is a joke and not a point of view as this is supposed to be a fun game and not a place for hate)

It was a joke.
avatar
adaliabooks: And maybe he's something else entirely, but I'm gonna go with Occams razor on this one and say the simplest answer might just be the right one.
Yogs is an idiot.
No wait, I mean yogs is town and telling the truth.
avatar
yogsloth: You know I'm right here, right? Like, I can totally hear you right now?
This gave me a chuckle as well.

avatar
Krypsyn: I have no clue to whom to move my vote.

She always seems scummy to me (no idea why), but she pinged my scumdar a bit with this statement:

avatar
cristigale: If yogs is lying and town has a cop, the real cop could blow yog’s cover.
avatar
Krypsyn: So...

Vote: cristgale
I had to stare at that awhile to finally get what you saw scummy about it. I find it lame for a vote but at least I see it. I appreciate not knowing who to vote for. I feel the same way at the moment.

avatar
Sage103082: As for voting right now I think I am going to wait until closer to a dead line to start throwing out names. Right now I feel that naming names is going to give scum an idea of which way they can push the game to get a lynch.
I agree with this. I don’t see a need to rush yet. Discussion was fairly lively these first few days despite being a weekend. You never know when someone might slip. I believe we can come to an agreement to lynch someone, otherwise we risk starting D2 in the same position as Today.
Monday night vote count:

2 Yogsloth (Trentonlf, Lifthrasil)
1 Krypsyn (Flubbucket)
1 Agentcarr16 (HijacK)
1 Sage103082 (BlueMooner)
1 HijacK (CSPVG)
1 CSPVG (Yogsloth)
1 Cristigale (Krypsyn)

With 16 players alive it takes 9 votes to kick someone off the island and 8 votes to "no-lynch".
Yogsloth is closest to leaving at L-7.

Not voting: JMich, HypersomniacLive, Dedoporno, McHack, AgentCarr16, Cristigale, Sage103082 and Adaliabooks

Deadline is in 6 days on Monday Sept 14th at Midnight EDT (UTC -4)
[Extended due to Holidays, Vacations, 16 players and its the first day]

Of course you can always vote someone off before that

Bagatha Chrustie is on holiday...will be back tomorrow

cristigale: I had to stare at that awhile to finally get what you saw scummy about it. I find it lame for a vote but at least I see it.
It is possibly role fishing and/or directing town power roles. Both of these are a bit scummy. It isn't the most damning evidence ever, but I did arch an eyebrow when I read it.
avatar
flubbucket: Your answer to 3a) begs the question, although you don't think it's a valid play why do you understand where yogsloth is coming from? Is it just yogsloth or would anyone making this play be understood??
Assuming I am correct about the play, I do find it too risky, and not something I would do. Other players may be willing to take said risk though.

avatar
Sage103082: Reactions can be faked. Sometimes silence is a reaction as well too.
Of course. And this been written, it does make it much harder to gauge reactions.
avatar
trentonlf: So, because you and a couple of others think yog's has some grand plan to help town I have to stop seeing yog's as behaving in a scummy manner? I'm supposed to take yog's at his word and not question it or his behavior?
No, not at all ! I'm not saying anything like that. Think he's scummy if you want, and by all means question his behaviour. As I said in my last post, everybody's talking about Yog... that wasn't my concern.

What made me slightly suspicious about you was how when some people seemed to hint they might have an idea what was going on, while everybody kept speculating on Yog's actions, YOU seemed to be going after those who suggested his actions might be town+. It just made me think you were fishing for scraps, hoping someone would assure you and spill Yog's plan. "Oh all right Trent, HERE'S what Yog is doing...bla bla bla, understand now?" Since I've said that I THINK Yog's actions MIGHT be town+, you trying to expose the details seemed town-.

If you said you had a suspicion of something, I asked you about it, and you declined to elaborate, I'd let the issue drop. That's me. I wouldn't keep poking you, saying "answer, answer, answer". Once someone's made a decision about something I usually don't keep on them about it. The fact that you kept poking when it was clear nobody was going to say more is what I'm talking about. That seemed like it MIGHT be scummy, but I wasn't sure, I'm new at this, which is why I asked what others thought. Everybody seems to pretty much think I'm wrong in how I've interpreted your actions, so I apologize.

If anything, take it as a compliment. You're the one who stressed we should talk about things that might be town-, so I did. It just happened to be about you. : )

And let me repeat if it isn't clear (since some people seem to think I'm saying things I'm not), I am NOT saying Yog is town, NOT saying I know he's town, NOT saying Yog has proven he's town, NOT saying anything like that. All I've said is that I think his action might be, since I can imagine a positive outcome from this, that's all. I could easily be wrong, easily be mistaken, easily have misinterpreted or imagined things that can't be. Hopefully that clears everything up.

Sage103082: I think having a dirty mind and the internet has corrupted me beyond repair.
avatar
HypersomniacLive: It has?
Yes, it has.

avatar
dedoporno: stuff
Thanks.

agentcarr16: If I figure out something that is a sure-fire scum tell, then I will never make that mistake, so it's no longer sure-fire. Also, if I have to come out about my method, then all other scum will try to stop making that mistake.
So basically everybody has to figure out their own means of finding mafia, and then they can't share those tricks with anybody, ever, even between games, lest the trick become useless. So.... I guess I'll just have to um... yeah.
Sorry, lol, but that semi-colon caught my eye this time. It should be a . </div> +1 for [url=https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4vf8N6GpdM]grammar nazi.

Krypsyn: Vote: Krypsyn
Ooh, rookie mistake. : P

avatar
HijacK: Would you like to be lost?
No, Lost is bad.

avatar
Lifthrasil: Since you are new, let me explain to you, why town should NEVER lie: catching scum at lies or self-contradictions is our main weapon of finding scum. If town starts to lie too, all things get muddled up. Caught scum can just fall back to: "Yea, I said that, but I was just lying because..." So basically if townies start to lie too, we have almost no chance of winning the game. Therefore "Don't lie, ever!" is one of the rules of good town play. Since most players follow that rule, 'lynch all liars' is good town play too and has a high chance of hitting scum.
See? Now here's some good newbie advice. This is the kind of stuff I was looking for *scribbles down notes*

avatar
agentcarr16: I feel that 7 people voting for yogsloth would be a Terrible mistake for Town. Perhaps I should have thrown a few more qualifiers and modifiers into my argument, but I didn't feel it necessary. Maybe I will next time.
You could always go back and edit your post. Just a suggestion. Don't worry, I'm sure the rest of us will be fine. : P
avatar
Sage103082: I am sorry. You will learn very quickly - I am a horrible speller and my grammar leaves a ton to be desired. =)
This should of had a ' as in I'll and a period before that. I was playing KQ the new release. Sadly it is not from GOG (As I do not think it is here yet) but do not fret I have all of old King's Quest from GOG as well as on floppies and CDs
Well, that's what I was leading towards. I was going to ask if you knew about the remakes and direct you if you were interested. However, your poor spelling... I'm sorry, I'm afraid I can't invite you to my "its vs it's" or "their, there, they're" parties. : p

Sometimes we get together and discuss typos from our favorite authors.

avatar
cristigale: Something we should keep in mind is that if mchack is scum, it was actually a clever play.
How?

avatar
Sage103082: Had liquor store run but back to catching up now.

First let me unvote Bluemooner
No no no!!, you should always vote bluemoon at the liquor store.

On a side note, I'll mention that Support got back to me about the forum glitch. They made NO mention of any fault on their end, or that everybody experienced it. Instead, they listed suggestions for me to do on my end, even though I listed I had already done those things when I sent my report to them. So either they didn't even read my claim, or just sent a generic response. That is OBVIOUSLY scummy behavior, so,

Unvote Sage
Vote GOG Support

agentcarr16: ...so what's up with this?
Forest for the trees, dear boy. Your scrutiny of his capitalizations has apparently made you miss a larger flaw. He didn't mention Hijack at all.
avatar
BlueMooner: How?
One of the safest scum claims is Vanilla, since there is practically no risk (at least this early on) of someone else calling you out on it. If you claim a role you risk the actual role holder to counter claim which may throw a wrench in your plan. Vanilla claim also has a built-in excuse on why you're not getting NKed. It may potentially serve as a investigation deflector as well - people will think twice before wasting a night action for a potential vanilla, the only role that comes to my mind that will never end up with a wasted read is an alignment cop.

Also, Yog already noted it as a rookie mistake (more often than not new players do or say or believe something to be good when it's actually not but they just don't know better yet) and since your are new it's more likely people will take your word for it easier than if I were to do the same, for example.

TL;DR - if done on purpose it may be a decent newbie scum play.

dedoporno: Yeah, sorry about that...
lulz!!

Unvote: Krypsyn

I'm anticipating some plausible explanation from the TOWN COP as to why he left a name off the list. The job does entail scrutinizing every player does it not??

And oopsy will not bode well
