clarry: Laziness. Yes, I am one. I gamed on Intel GPUs exclusively for years.. I could not find a title that doesn't work because of the GPU! The GPU is most likely suitable. The game crashes because there is an unpatched bug in the game. Bollocks. I posted a solution, and I have played through the entire game on Intel graphics.
Congrats.

And on a depressing side note, there are like four people in here that can stand to put up with my bullshit and two of them are fighting with each other. XD
Real mature, I'm starting to think you're actually a teenager, It's called regular discussion something that you wouldn't understand.

I think eveyone is getting sick of your bullshit, Also stay on the damn meds you're a complete asshole when you forget (deliberately) to take them.

fr33kSh0w2012: Yeah doesn't look like the intel 3000 is gonna do it
Maybe it can...

However it would probably involve forcibly setting the resolution to something small, like 640x480 or 320x200,

There was a video of someone getting Borderlands to work that way.

We're talking about a 2002 game based on the Quake 3 Engine (1999).. I can tell you the GPU requirements are nothing like Crysis (2007; which I've played on intel graphics btw) or Borderlands (2009).

zlaywal: From the specific game Forum, which you can access from the Game Card

https://www.gog.com/forum/medal_of_honor_series

https://www.gog.com/forum/general/black_screen

"Tick "Disable Desktop Composition" under compatibility on the shortcut for the game and see if that works."
Thanks. I will try that and see if it works. I will let you know. So weird one game works, but not the others.

paladin181: I'm installing now to try and replicate your fault.

The problem is most likely your integrated Intel GPU.
From the game store page in the System requirements section: Other: Intel integrated graphics cards and ATI Radeon X1800 cards are not supported
Thanks. I appreciate your help. I will try all of the suggestions of others. Maybe I can find an older computer that can rn the games. It's just so odd I can run one game but not the other ones. You would think they would all operate using the same platform requirements.
avatar
paladin181: What do you mean, you started the game in safe mode?
avatar
rtcvb32: I don't think you CAN run games in safe mode. Assuming you tried the no-acceleration would kill it for anything but the simplest of games.

Make sure 'run as admin' is turned off, set for XP SP3 compatibility, it might need to run in 256 colors depending on the game...

Moby Games says it's 2002-2003.

Sounds like it's a 3DFX driver/dependency issue. But that's an initial guess.

rtcvb32: Probably DX9. Yeah seems most likely the issue.
Thanks, I will check that out as well.

Did you try the patched exe?

paul7re: I purchased the game Medal of Honor Warchest and uploaded it. After i clicked on 'Play' it went to a black screen and nothing happened. I did see a blue circle for a second that usually lets me know that something is loading, but nothing else happened. I started the game in Safe Mode. What is the problem, and what is the fix? I have Windows 7, Intel HD3000 graphic card, 512 GB SSD and enough other storage and 2.7GHZ, so not sure what else it could be.

fr33kSh0w2012: Your problem could be the amount of ram OR the integrated card Mostly the integrated card
Thanks. I think I have enough RAM, but as you said, it could be the integrated card. I just don't understand how one game can runf fine and the other two won't even launch, or starts to launch and crash.
avatar
rtcvb32: I'm suddenly reminded, a number of older systems had shared memory. So if i had 512Mb ram, i could put 32Mb to video memory, giving me 480Mb workable ram for games/OS.

For older games (2005 and earlier)... 128Mb is probably what you need, beyond that i couldn't say, at least for integrated.

Getting an older used/refurbished10 years old video card might work for most games (and be very cheap)
avatar
fr33kSh0w2012: The system requirements for Warchest are:

Processor: Intel Pentium 4 1.8GHz / AMD Sempron 2200+
Graphics: AMD Radeon X1270 or NVIDIA GeForce 6500
System Memory: 512 MB RAM
Storage: 1.5 GB Hard drive space
DirectX 9 Compatible Graphics Card

Yeah doesn't look like the intel 3000 is gonna do it
Can I get another card that will allow the games to work?
avatar
paul7re: Thanks, I will check that out as well.

clarry: Did you try the patched exe?
Not sure. I know I tried a lot of things. Where do I find that patch?

Lol. I just tried it and it said "The program can't start because system 86.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." I already reistalled War Chest, bu that didn't help, unless it means reistalling something else. I hate not being computer literate when it comes to the tech aspect. That's what happens when you get old and don't keep up with it. lol

You replaced the original exe and got that error?! That makes no sense.

dudalb: Many games just do not like integrated GPU's. Really common problem.
So, if that is the case, what can I do?
system86.dll is part of the game, if the original exe can find it then so can my patched version.

If that were the case, you'd buy a different GPU. But that isn't the case in this case.

Yep. I clicked on the link, then hit Run, and that's what popped up. Go figure. Maybe I just need a new computer. But, I got conflicting information about that from some geeks at Best Buy. One said I should be able to run the old games on a Windows 10 platform, and the other one said it won't work. I know my system is older, but you would think if I am able to run Pacific Assault that I could run the other ones.
