Welcome, Russian-speaking gamers!

GOG.com has always been about bringing you the widest selection of the greatest games: classic, new, all DRM-free. To keep this up we need to grow, and to grow we want to reach out to more gamers worldwide. We've already unveiled a French and German version of our store, and today we're introducing Russian to GOG.com! (Did you know that it's the second most used language on the internet?)

We already have more than 150 games in Russian in our catalog, and today we celebrate by releasing six new DRM-free games - including two digital distribution exclusives and three weeklong discounts:
-<span class="bold">Galactic Assault: Prisoner of Power</span> (digital distribution exclusive)
-<span class="bold">Sea Dogs</span> (digital distribution exclusive)
-<span class="bold">Wings of Prey Complete</span>
-<span class="bold">Pilot Brothers</span> (-33%)
-<span class="bold">Men of War</span> (-50%)
-<span class="bold">Death to Spies</span> (-50%)

We have over 30 more games on sale this weekend up to 75% off: Russian-language games straight "<span class="bold">From Russian with Love</span>"! That includes not just the new releases, but also the King's Bounty saga, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series and more. Everyone is invited to mingle, and it's as good a time as any to break down gaming's largest language barriers one discount at a time.

With an all-new website language, localised customer support, and a dedicated Russian forum, we're hoping to become the right place for all of our Russian-speaking gamers. We’re also adjusting our prices in those regions. For over a year we’ve been offering games at lower prices in Russia and other independent countries that emerged from the USSR, places where game prices have historically been lower than in western markets. Starting today, more games will be priced appropriately for these territories. We've decided to adjust our pricing to the realities of the market, to avoid a sense that you have to pay more to get your games DRM-free or that GOG.com games are more expensive than other stores that operate in those regions.

Just in case you wondering, introducing these price changes won't affect the way gifting works today on GOG.com.
Why are the most of bonuses listed in the genitive case in my library? o_O

I really like how it's the publishers'/ devs' doing when it's something that gets a negative reception, but it's GOG's when it's something that you expect to get praise for or benefit from.

And the reality of the market? You mean the reality of how pubs/ devs and other stores treat the market based only on the currency in use; sometimes not even that.

It is an unfortunate temporary solution. We will be changing that:)
Hi, i tried to buy the STALKER bundle which price was 13.49€ or something. I added it to my cart, then I was thinking abut taking fantasy wars too but the price of the stalker bundle changed to 23.49€ in my cart... Now i can see that the stalker bundle price changed again to 20.67€... Is that a bug ? or did the price changed in 5min ?

Unfortunately, 10€ makes the difference for me, I wont buy it at this price :(
I hope you follow these releases up with Marauder (aka Man of Prey).

Nowt for me on this sale - but I'll be digging out my boxed copies of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series to redeem.
No Stalin Subway? :(
:D
But seriously, great news! Maybe I'll motivate myself to learn Russian at least a little with GOG's help? :)

I'm a bit wondering if there are restrictions currently in place for gifting?

RudyLis: Elven Legacy originally is just an add-on to Fantasy Wars, that is marketed by Paradox outside of Russia (I just bought collector's edition version of game with all stuff inside (including the medallion:)), only one mission was totally borken and broken, lol:D), separately from core game. If Paradox will deem necessary to release the series from it's capitalistic oppression*, we'll finally be able to enjoy entire game.

*Sorry, couldn't resist. Hammer and Sickle smilie here. :)
Well, it is already available DRM-free elsewhere, and without a Russian discount even, so don't see why not.

Otherwise, assuming blanket regional pricing now? Yeah, this day was coming. [insert choice words here]

:D
A game that stood out more for its bizarre rendition of March of the Communist Brigades than for the game itself, although setting a game in Soviet Russia without it actually being about communism was an interesting touch.
Хорошая новость, спасибо GOG :)
Great news, thanks GOG :)

How nice. Any way you can make the different language forums selectable, like you do with the game subforums? It's pretty useless for me to have this stack of different language forums on my Community homepage, when I barely even manage to type in my own tongue correctly.

GOG.com: We’re also adjusting our prices in those regions.
Why do I get the feeling this is the signal for me to surrender the Regional Discount thread, due to overwhelming force?
^^ And while we're at that request, how about selecting languages you want to see for reviews too? Because it's slowly becoming a babel tower out there.
And wonder what the continued addition of languages will do for the already messy and still unimproved wishlist as well.

Splatsch: Hum, between "Soldiers: Heroes of World War II", and "Men of War", if I buy one, which one to choose and why ? Any advice ?
I started with the third one in the series (MoW) and still enjoyed the first when I came to play it later. I did find Men of War the better game though
"From Russia with love" - I got this to my mailbox today.

Thank you, GOG, my country is shot with tons of Russian rockets and bullets daily, by Russian militarymen and "militia". We don't need more "Russian love" here.

Unsubscribed from all your maillists from now.
