According to the site it's because the characters are still plain text... which makes sense. Defiantly need more forum features though. :)

I find it quite unsettling that anything TW3-related had absolute priority, even over tickets about hacked accounts.

Hmmm... I added the BBCode support for a tiny script for grease monkey, so i don't see the need for it... Not that i'd want to add a huge number of features, just a few...

I think that's what the "not tagged properly" is about. Normally this would have had priority, I think.

That's not how I read his reply ("we're only just getting back on track with tickets after TW3 went live"), but perhaps you're right.

jezzerr2: On the 24th May I recieved an e-mail from GOG in Russian, I originally gave it no thought as I assumed i'd changed my locale the night before whilst messing around in my account settings. However a few days later I attempted to log in to my account at work to download the Witcher 3 soundtrack, only to be met with a "this e-mail doesn't exist" message. Tying things together I assumed (correctly) that my account had been hacked/taken over and upon investigation have found my e-mail address replaced with one ending in @bk.ru with my password changed and my locale set to Russian Federation.

Since then I have sent two support requests, one from my main account that thankfully still auto logs in on GOG Galaxy on my home PC and one from a new account I created when I beleived I had no access to my main account. I have had no response to either of these e-mails, not even an auto response with a ticket number.

I have posted in the first account hacked forum topic I could find, and followed the advice in there to PM a GOG employee here, once again with no response.

If this was just a tech issue I wouldn't be creating this topic but this is an issue affects both my account and personal details! The fact I have recieved no support or assistance from GOG over this issue is beyond belief. What is also utterly confusing is that my account e-mail and password were changed without any notifications of these changes being sent to me.

Please could a GOG employee help me in gaining control back of my account.

I got a sudden email change on the account too, fortunately I'm still logged in on the site so I can actually see the email of the asshole who hacked me though I can't change the email because it asks me to log-in again - and I can't since the email and password got changed. I wish support would respond to the tickets faster considering one of the admins is currently playing Witcher 3 instead of helping people out.
The stupid thing is that messages don't generate notifications on Galaxy unless they're from friends, so while Firek is on Galaxy he's not being notified about any messages he got from people with this problem.

Now I feel like a dumbass myself.
Has anyone been able to determine how these account hacks are being accomplished? It seems far to coincidental that just after the release of Galaxy, a rash of account hacking has occurred, almost like there may be a weakness in Galaxy itself that is being exploited. Correlation does not equal causation, but it is still too suspicious for my taste.
