Loger13: And, by the way, I didn't finish:
We don't need this spam about new releases. What we really need is a separate page, as simple as possible, on which there will be a simple log in the form:
---
{Date - Time}: Sale X{link_to_sale} started. Will end in {Timer}.
{Date - Time}: The game Y{link_to_game} added to catalog.
{Date - Time}: The game A{link_to_game} changed: Added file(-s).
{Date - Time}: The game B{link_to_game} changed: Changed file(-s) / Changed version.
{Date - Time}: The game C{link_to_game} changed: Deleted file(-s).
{Date - Time}: The game Z{link_to_game} will be removed from the catalog after {Timer} due to the request of the publisher.
---
and so on.
And nothing more.

Simple, fast, convenient and useful page with such a log.

So we can quickly and conveniently see which new games have been added, which have been updated and which sales have started (and when they will end).
+1
Been there, done that. Pass.
I subscribed to the newsletter and it said since Qwent isnt in my library I couldnt get the offer. So I didnt get free game or anything. I tried adding qwent but it said its free to play.

Lifthrasil: 5. Even if you, by some weird chance, would get something you actually want, you'll be hindered by annoying Captchas. I won't support this kind of Captchas!
Eh, I say the captchas are fun....biddy biddy beep b00p.

I just want Dark Souls...
I prefer using the RSS feed myself. Besides, I wouldn't have read this message otherwise!
I actually like the newsletters, because most of the time I only check the site once or twice a week. They could definitely be improved though.

1 reason why GOG won't release Skyrim, THEY DON'T OWN SKYRIM
Ask Bethesda, and you'll get likely get told no chance in hell. Why do users think GOG gets to decide?

Skyrim Legendary Edition will never come here
The only reason it's still sold on Steam, is due to contractual obligations with Valve, likely obligated by deal making it the launch game for Steam Workshop. The standard procedure is to remove the game from sale entirely, when replaced by a new version.
Even so, nobody except an existing owner can even find the Store page, on Steam.

Getting a direct link from an owner is the only way to buy LE now.
Skyrim Legendary Edition On Steam

Skyrim Legendary Edition is welcome on GOG, but Bethesda don't want to sell it anywhere.

Skyrim Special Edition, and Fallout 4
Even less chance, they will ever come to GOG, due to Creation Club DRM.

Regardless, that Microtransaction infested Store being forced into games I bought years before, was the reason I removed both Fallout 4, and Skyrim SE from my Steam account, so unless they remove the Creation Club DRM from both games, neither will be welcome.

Skyrim Special Edition, and Fallout 4 are NOT welcome on GOG, unless Creation Club is removed.
I doubt that will ever happen.

I feel like I get most of this already through the RSS feed, but I'll give the newsletter a try. I think I am already subscribed. I have the "Get notified about our deals and important announcements" box checked. Let me know if there is something else I need to check.

I actually prefer to visit the site periodically throughout the day. I like the website :).

P.S. I only clicked on the one box because I don't want to get redundant info like alerts that something on my wishlist is on sale or newly released. I get that through RSS feeds and my daily visits to the site.

No, GOG - you have no idea how much bad feeling was generated by "curating" Covid-The Outbreak as a favour to your ex colleagues, nailing it to a "Sale" newsletter, and sticking it in my face.

I don't need your spam anymore

Throw in some store credit with the newsletter and you got yourself a deal. Otherwise, I'm fine with visiting the store whenever I actually want to buy something.
Turns out I was already subscribed. Still you're the best GOG lots of love from a very happy gamer.
