Luckmann: First of all, all links in OP are dead. I'd report it, but apparently you can only report posts for spam, so I did that by accident instead.

Second, has anyone made a general bug fix/improvement/restoration mod for the base game? I tried Fallout Tactics Redux v13, but it was so bad I couldn't make it into the game proper before shutting everything down again. The ReadMe gave me high hopes, but the whole thing was beyond amateurish.
Back then when I played the game I made a few fixes for the bugs that I encountered in my playthough during a few missions and a broken trigger I that found when checking the scripts.

You can check out my old post here.

There's Equalibrium mod for Redux that may make things more bearable for you:

http://www.nma-fallout.com/threads/equilibrium-mod-v2-0-released.202508/

Shameless plug: I made some pre-war 'Hero' characters on page 4, which should make solo attempts or insane difficulty squads possible in Equalibrium mod, as it makes weapons more balanced and thus enemies tougher.
Re Fallout Tactic Redux mod v1.3

Comment: It's more like a buttload of changes to the base game, entirely on Endocore's decision. I am not object to that, per se, as it's a mod. It's just, more than a few things familiar in base game get changed beyond recognition.

Weapon: you can get access to Steal character right after 1st mission, so you can get access to a lot of things in other people's inventory. Notably, a laser pistol (with change to damage range) and Banarky's minigun. So a EG and BG chars can be of use right from the start. The flamer pistols seem to be using SG skill so pyromaniac can rejoice. double shot mode of sawn off shotgun get eliminated so only Stitch's shotgun worth keeping, all other can just get sold.

Ammo: More get introduced. In a way, it's a method to limit good stuffs. In another way, it's a pain in the ass to keep account.

Recruit: Stitch now can be relegated to a support slot in your team with FA, Doc, Barter. Price range variation has been modded to a level that encourage you to sell loots as soon as possible (before the resupply point after each mission) with a highest Barter. There's no other early Barterer, so Stitch is it~ Checking the roster will have some recruit with nice bonus or traits.

Difficulty: Due to a total combined effects from various changes, Hardest difficulty mean certain death at first shot from enemy. It mean either you got first shot first kill then run, or you are deader than doornail. I am not even sure you can cheat your way out of such situation, as 120+ damage from one burst sounds like impossible, even with toughness and resistance boost. As such, it's advisable to reduce it to second hardest.
is there a mod which unlocks the springfield mission on this new release? did anyone try it? does it work well? are there any textures/sprites missing?

... and the most important question: where can i get it. :)
I have to agree that Fallout Tactics Redux can make the game ridiculously difficult at times, but to me all the fixes and things like that make it worth it to me.

Regarding the Springfield secret mission. As far as I know, there is a single line of text that you need to edit in a config file (preferably before you start a new game), I just can't remember what file you need to edit.
So basically, I've been using Endocore's Redux 1.3 + Equillibrium mod and one thing that bothered me was that Stitch had a blonde sprite, but his avatair is dark haired.

I went into the FT Tools and tried to change the hair colour in two different places, the Hair slider in "Image" and and the Hair colour in the level up screen - but absolutely nothing changed in the game.

I made sure I saved my changes and even tried the "update" button but to no avail.

Does anyone knows what to do? Thanks.

I just installed Fallout Tactics and, by default, I could set my resolution to 1920 x 1080. Does that mean Fallout Tactics Hi-Res Patch is now included by default or that GOG patched high-rez support into the game and makes this mod redundant for GOG versions?

Yes, you did not purchase just the regular commercial game version 1.27. Included with the game 1.27 is also the HD patched version. In fact, the game includes the exact same unofficial patch ver1.0 found at the nma-fallout.com website.

If you click on BOS_HR.exe or "Launch Fallout Tactics" with the Launcher, you run the game in HD using the High Resolution patch v1.0. GOG has removed the DRM features of this and altered the launcher to run BOS_HR.exe instead of BOS.exe

To run the game without the High Resolution patch, click on BOS.exe - it's still there.
Ouch, almost all of the links do not work now :(
The only mods you need to add to this game are Redux 1.3 + Equilibrium 2.2.

I wouldn't recommend Redux 1.3 on it's own, the author increased the lethality of combat substantially (ie, you die from 1 or 2 non-critical gunshots) with the intent for the player to always strike first and strike from stealth. This makes melee utterly redundant and combat itself an annoying affair.

Equilibrium balances the game (utilizing the fixes from Redux 1.3) beautifully to the point where I'm having an excellent
(and challenging) experience playing on Tough Guy / Hard. Equilibrium says they don't support higher difficulties, but I found the challenge fun so far, unlike Redux's "die on two hits hope you saved" approach.

You can get both of these mods on mod db:

Redux 1.3
https://www.moddb.com/mods/fallout-tactics-redux/downloads/fallout-tactics-redux

Equilibrium 2.2
https://www.moddb.com/mods/balancedux/downloads/equilibrium-v20-final

Equilibrium overhauls the Perk system, so most perks are actually now useful (unfortunately, Ninja and Drunken Brawler are still bugged, according to them). The new info is provided by them in their archive, but the way it's formatted doesn't lend itself as a useful resource to plan builds, so I organized it in this google sheet:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1yLIru9q0Qgjll7_lx1tT32mH7PaDw--MVUwGktO9Xjg/edit#gid=0

Please let me know if you find any errors, I believe I transcribed the information accurately, but I had to do so manually.

It would be nice if there were a way to scale the menus and game UI, but I don't know of any mods for that. The only solution for me has been to play the game at a fullscreen lower resolution than my screen is capable of.
