Under the command of General Zod, it is your job to take control of chain smoking, foul-mouthed, abusive, alcoholic robot-grunts, whose

Z: The Game here on GOG isn't probably the game you are looking for. It's neither to original (and awesome) DOS version nor is it the Win95 version of Z with the "Z Expansion Kit". No, it's only the crappy Android port, originally released in 2012.
The biggest problem: the awfull controls. It's really annoying to play the game on a PC.
Other flaws:
- the AI and the pathfinding is different from the original game
- there is no multiplayer. Why?
- there are a lot of bugs in the game (issues with XP, invisible buildings,...)
So, I understand that there a legal issues releasing the original game. But why make the game worse than the original? If they can fix the issues, 'Z: The Game' would be a nice addition to GOG but in this case, it's a pointless waste of money.
While aware of other reviews similar to this, I must say that I'm very disappointed by this not being the original version of Z; the controls are awful, the interface is just different than the original, which makes it lose the great appeal it had the twenty something years ago when I tried it for the first time.
It's clunky, slow, and not really as great as it once was. If it's someday changed to the original, I'll gladly change this review.
Take it or not, it´s port of the mobile-phone/tablet version of Z, that was released several years ago, it´s not the original Z from the 1995(?) and it´s not remaster build for PC. Just a port, not very good, I´ve actually made it through, it was not all that bad, but it has these kind of typical mobile version-port problems... Notably strange movement of mouse, cause it was kind of build for tablet touchscreen.

If you Re-do a game for NEWER systems to run it DON'T RIP IT FROM A BAD COPY FROM A CHEAP PHONE APP!!! take it from the CD-Rom that was MADE by "The Bitmap Brothers" not some crap 3rd party fast crap app re maker!!!!
The game dose not move nor control the same way as the old dos/Win95 version it very noticeable its the port from the phone where you peck and move with a FINGER not a popper 2 button mouse!!
The one-star review is not for the game. This is one of my all time favorite games to play & when it was released I played through many times!
I was super excited to play again after so many years (I still have my original CD somewhere) but all that was killed by how BROKEN this version of the game is.
First off, I noticed the cutscenes had bad audio sync & looked terrible. Then when I got into the game, I immediately noticed that a lot of things were not right.
The hotkeys (except for the spacebar) do not work. The screen scroll is awful, you can barely move around the map. You can't select & delselect units properly or group/split properly, which is crucial to winning. The pathfinding AI is totally broken from the original.
I only spent two bucks & change, but I'm absolutely upset that this version of a fantastic game I thought only I remembered is so broken. This needs to be fixed!
