Amazing
one of my all time favorite games, seems a bit dull when compared to Xcom 2 WOC (which i hope will come to gog at some point as well ) but nonetheless an amazing game, you really create amazing stories while playing.

Turn based game at its best.
This just got released in GOG? AWESOME! This is my most played game on Steam by far. I've poured hundreds of hours into this game. This is a turn based game at its best. This is rivaling the original UFO: Enemy Unknown ( X-COM UFO Defense ). I don't think I can say more than what has already been said by others. If you like turn based games and don't know this one, then you don't how good turn based games can be.

Awesome game finally DRM free
I purchased this game years ago and when I finally saw it on GoG today, it was an instant buy. Time to take Earth back from the alien scum once again! Personal recommendation: use the Long War mod, it adds a lot to the gaming experience. Can't wait to see the second part of the series on GoG!

A worthy remake!
I was a big fan of the original 2 XCOM games in the 90-ties, and this remake is awesome. After 70 hours played I see that I am gonna spend many many more hours playing it. I really like the implementation - many details were really well made. The characters and animations are capturing, the music and atmosphere is really nice. The gameplay and tech-tree are enjoyable and replayable (at least after 70 hours). Giving it 5 stars even if no Linux version available. And also 100% buying the sequel XCOM2 when it comes, just based on this game (I find XCOM graphics/art nicer than XCOM2..) Good job Firaxis!
