Old west at its best
A great blend of real time and exploration. Narrator is perfect for the weird west setting. Feels very western but with modern sensebilities

Great setting, poor quality of life
The worldbuilding on this immediately drew me in! A Western game with the sexism and racism deleted, and fascinating magic added in? Yes please! But in terms of actual gamplay, this game is frustrating to play in many ways. Inventory management is a much bigger part of it than it should be, and gets irritating and intrusive quite often. There are a lot of things about the design that seem meant to make the game more difficult, but instead just make it irritating to play rather than just balancing the game better and having a more streamlined experience. To give some examples, there's no way to favorite weapons or armor in your inventory, so it's easy to sell your best gear by mistake, and there's not even a buyback system. Twice I sold my best gear accidentally, couldn't buy it back without spending ALL my hard-earned money, and had to just load an earlier save. And the game is full of relatively basic design flaws like that, which make it more difficult to enjoy.

Game crashes
Tutorial, on the second mission the game crashes repeatedly. A short internet search confirmed the game is crashing (freezing) regularly for different people on different setups, while others can play more or less without problems. The game is buggy, see some of the other reviews.

it's just not fun.
I wanted to like this but there's to many little things. Nothing in the marketing told me to expect a tabletop look. Ok, no big deal but then i can't sneak up on some people because of walls and cliffs, etc. it's really distracting to not be able to get close to my charactorvto see what's going on. I get they want me to be creative, ie shoott the lamp to start a fire, but i need bullets for that and i couldn't find any out asked to buy any for a long time. Low or reloads to get it exactly right before i could move on. And not being able to but anytime... Because it's all too expensive. There were some cool things that would have helped me if they weren't so outrageously pricey when everything I'm selling was $1 each. What's the point? It just feels tedious and... Not fun.
